Everything was top class. From the attention beforehand to the day and total stay. The details were impressive with nothing missed. Every comfort thought and catered for. Staff were efficient, professional and polite. Lovely setting very useful for Reading and elegant decor while still homey and welcoming. Great value.

Room tip: Take time to enjoy the lovely house and garden. Location means you can leave car and use local transport.

Beech House was once a large single-family dwelling and is now a small hotel. The owner has beautifully decorated it. Our room had a very comfortable queen-sized bed, a large armoire for our clothes and a large bathroom with plenty of hot water for the shower. The dining room, where we had breakfast the next morning, opens out onto a small but beautiful garden. The food, including the coffee, was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Room tip: Very close to a bus stop and a variety of pubs and restaurants.

This amazing hotel deserves more than 5. The owner went over and above to ensure we were comfortable and well informed.
A beautiful room which almost a suite with separate bathroom / shower to the bedroom.
The bed was huge and very comfortable,
No lack of heating as the cooler weather had arrived.
Bags taken up to our room and told to leave them to be brought down the next morning.
Beautiful breakfast room with cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice to choose from and hot breakfast cooked to order.
The owner takes great pride in providing quality service and facilities.
A must visit if in the area.

A well appointed hotel in a great position in the town. A warm, friendly welcome on arrival by the owner, who kindly carried my bags up to my room. The room (12) was spacious and light; plenty of space to sleep and work. The bed was very comfortable, and shower strong and hot. I appreciated the fan in the bedroom as the first couple of nights were very warm. Wifi worked well, with no interruptions. Reading down centre is only a 25 min walk away; providing plenty of opportunities for restaurants etc. I would certainly stay here again when in Reading.

Very warm welcome. A really lovely and clean hotel. Good breakfast and Wi-Fi. Good parking and a beautiful garden,
The service was thorough and friendly.
It’s easy to reach as it’s right in the Bath Road. They only do breakfast but there’s a Beefeater steakhouse directly over the road.
The hotel has no alcohol license so over the road if a swift half is needed.
All rooms have hair driers and irons are available on request.
We stayed in one the slightly more expensive rooms and was completely worth it.

I’ll stay here in Reading when visiting family.

Room tip: Off-street parking and a calm garden. There are a few steps on the ground floor to navigate. The best rooms are worth it but are upstairs
