Having had to go to Reading for a stag do (I am too old for this and not a massive fan of Reading) This hotel provided us all a great starting point to exploring the city.
The hotel is very well located, modern, clean, helpful staff throughout, with an ideal meeting area in the lobby and the price is good.
The rooms are not very spacious but idea for a weekend away, our room was very warm and the windows didn't open very far, some might get claustrophobic in the bathroom.
If you are driving to Reading (this hotel) set your sat nav to the NCP carpark "Garrard Street RG1 1NR" You can check the tariffs online but... scan your parking ticket with the Ibis and they give you a rate of £10 for the 24hrs. <-Very helpful tip!
***BE WARNED... the road that the hotel is on FRIAR STREET is a bus lane road (you can drive one way NOT the other... Pay attention to the sign posts)
The Hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the Train station.
When you get to this hotel you will find pretty much everything you need on your doorstep.
