Again another of Reading resto, this one is located in Prospect Street in Caversham.
We went there around 2000hrs without reservation...no tables in the main dining area..the owner told us to come back in 1/2hour..so we did go for a drink in the Hope next door and came back around 2030hrs.The owner had set a small table for three in the back. We right away ordered our dinner, I had some Kotolettes Grilled cutlets of lamb flavoured with rosemary , we ordered some red wine False Bay Pinotage, South Africa all very good.
The owner is nice and very active running around all the tables..but the place is very small indeed, peoples sitting less than two feet from you on the next table, last night the resto was packed and extremely noisy unbearable to my poor ears, we could not talked to each other.
The smoke alarm went off as the all resto was filled by smoke ( lamb or beef on the grill in the kitchen)..
Right, so if you want to go there book in advance (and bring ear plugs).
But otherwise the food is great and the owner very serviable.
