We spent a couple of nights at the Royal Hotel whilst visiting family and friends in Sheffield. What a find!

Our room was not in the main building but in one of the three purpose-built outbuildings. The room was very clean, warm and cozy with a lovely comfortable bed and a really good supply of coffee, tea etc. There was a spacious shower room (with Body Shop toiletries too!). The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of well cooked food. We ate dinner there on our first night - good home-cooked food - not a vast menu, but certainly a great choice of food. Free wi-fi was available in our room and in the bar area. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners of this lovely country pub/B&B and we will certainly be back.

The Royal Hotel is well situated for local walking - the beautiful village of Bradfield is just down the road and there is easy driving access to the Peak District / Hope Valley. Sheffield town centre is roughly a 20 minute drive away.

Had a warm welcome from the friendly owners, it's located in a peaceful location away from the City but only a £10 taxi to the City centre for a night out, great value for money cannot fault!!! Will be using again.

Called in at last minute for a family + dog stay. Very helpful and friendly team. comfortable and clean room. Really appreciated the breakfast tray when we told them we had to leave early. Couldn't do more. A great find and we will be back. Highly recommended

Stayed here one night whilst attending a friend's wedding. It's in a beautiful spot. The room we stayed in was separate to the main building - one of three single story outbuildings . It was a twin room with a shower and loo. It was very clean and had all we needed for our night's stay. There aren't any views, but if you're only going to be sleeping there that isn't a problem. Nice Bodyshop toiletries supplied and mugs for our tea! Breakfast was in the main pub which is really nice - a traditional pub with good beer, nice selection of whiskeys and an interesting menu. Breakfast was lovely - lots of choices and they had veggie sausages too which was a nice bonus. Lots of folk stuff going on at the pub too.

Thank you for the lovely review.
The rooms may not be large but I hope I have added all you need for a luxury stay.
Regarding the view I am sorry you didn't get to see any of it. You may not look straight out onto it but if you step out of the door on a good day you can see down the Loxley valley to Sheffield and as far as Gainsborough.

We try to get different malt whiskies and not only the cheap ones. The newest we have is the David Beckham Haig club

Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice on the menu.
Very good beer and malt whisky. Friendly owners. Couldn't ask for a better stay.
We were attending a wedding nearby, but it would have been good to eat and drink more at the Royal.
We'll be back to do some walking in the area.
