“Like coming home again. With extra safety built in.”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

Have been here a few times now, but first time without my partner, so didn't have the piles of disabled kit I normally have. A lovely greeting from the duty staff and auto checked in without any problems.

One change since I last stayed is full key-card entry for the lift above reception level, a great security addition for some travellers and instills a better feeling of safety.

Quicky in, dropped bags and straight out again so didn't eat there in the evening. Late breakfast and great to be greeted by the ever splendid Neville. Cooking to order for the full breakfast delivered hot and fresh. Usual banter with Nev during breakfast, (he looks like Dom Littlewood and he insists I look like Noddy Holder) Grabbed a few muffins for the journey and away.

This is a great hotel and the onsite parking means you can come an go as you like without having to worry about where you're going to park when you get back.

Recommend to anyone.

Stayed here on business for one night. I was here on my own and there were lots of families staying here with their sons and daughters who were graduating the next day. I felt like the gooseberry as everyone was having family time except me as my girls and boy were all at home sat around eating Celebrations with my wife in my bed!
However, the staff made the stay. The room was tidy, clean an and the lay out pretty much Premier Inn standard. But the staff were fantastic. From the reception staff (Aimee - if I was 20 years younger I would have proposed) through to the evening restaurant manager and her team and the breakfast staff. All in all if I were coming back to Sheffield and needed somewhere pleasant and friendly to stay then I would get my office to book me in here again.

Extremely good value for money, with friendly staff and the usual high standard of comfort and cleanliness. Perfectly positioned for both the City Centre or the bars and restaurants of the Eccleshall Road.

Best bits - We stayed here over night and received a very warm welcome from Aimee. She was pleasant and came across as caring too. A big plus for me.
The room was spacious and spotless. The bed was comfy and extra pillows a bonus.
Hotel was clean and I love the security of the key cards to access the building.

Downside - the tv was tiny, we couldn't see it properly from the bed and very limited channels. Also the internet is only accessible for 2 items so if you go with 2 phones, a lap top and an iPad you have to buy another code. Also the restaurant times are limited too.

Would come again.
Thank you Aimee for being so nice

Somehow I assumed that the fact that the Premier Inn was number 1 hotel in Sheffield that it would somehow be different from every other Premier Inn. Idiot. Of course it's not. That's the whole point of the franchise: it's the same. You check-in using a machine, your bathroom has washing-up detergent in a dispenser intended for both your hair and your body, the pillows are of rubber (albeit of varying density), you have to collect an ironingboard yourself from a store cupboard, the desk-lamp is screwed to the table. The world is suffused by purple. It is the Ryanair of overnight accommodation: cheap and soulless.

Stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night, arrived around lunchtime and accessed the hotel car park. Upon arrival there were several car parking spaces available and the car park was secured with shutters.

The reception is located on level 3 and upon arrival was greeted by young, cheerful receptionists. check in was quick and easy.

The double room was clean and tidy and everything was in full working order. This hotel only has showers which personally I prefer. The room was spacious and there was plenty of storage space.

The room contained a tv, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities and in the small bathroom there was shower gel and clean towels.

We had a very peaceful nights sleep and comfortable too.

Breakfasts are a little expensive at £8.75 so we opted to forgo that. There is a bar and restaurant on site as well as vending machines for any necessities.

This location was approx 15mins walk to Leopoldo square but we jumped a taxi for approx £4 which took 5 mins.

Overall a good location and I would return again.

Got here early but Lou on Check in rearranged things so I could have my room straight away. Great service, cheery and welcoming. Car park is a bonus. Absolutely nothing to niggle about, clean, comfortable and great location.
