“Sandra P - Wedding Venue”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

We held our daughter's wedding at this hotel. The venue looked amazing for both the ceremony and reception and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient, particularly the Event Management team who went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. We and many of our guests stayed over at the hotel and found the rooms clean and comfortable, in all we would definitely recommend Mosborough Hall for your special celebration.

I stayed at the hotel with my 1yr old, 7yr old, husband and in-laws (both pensioners). The reception staff were excellent and responsive to any help we needed and the hotel itself is a lovely old building with a well done modern build around it. Ideally located for the Peak District if you can't get a hotel in Bakewell/Buxton etc. HOWEVER.....the restaurante service was abysmal and we commented that the food took so long to arrive they clearly only had one frying pan and saucepan to cook with!! A shame as it let meal times become an ordeal rather than a pleasure.

This hotel high above Sheffield Centre is one of the best Best Western hotels i have stayed at.
The hotel has considerable charm set in nice grounds and is excellently maintained and well-kept and has the feeling you are staying in a country pile.
The staff really went out your way to make your stay special, friendly, attentive they served you with a smile. A great start to the stay.
The rooms are of average size, desk, soft chairs, queen bed, flat screen TV. Free WiFi.
The bathroom was a decent size and has a few extras you want in the room like tea\coffee\biscuits.
The breakfast selection was good, nice English Breakfast and average cost £12.95 with continental a cheaper £7.95.
They do a great bar menu and afternoon tea selection which i tried and clotted cream scones - in South Yorkshire! Lovely!
The bar is excellent with some good beers and the bar and lounge areas had a new and olde worlde feel about them
Very quiet location, good for a short drive to Sheffield Arena or Meadowhall.
Tram Park and Ride just down the road.
But its so easy from this hotel to drive into Central Sheffield.
I really recommend this Best Western.
Visit the City, stay in the country!

We visited with two dogs - a Jack Russel and a Labrador. Both made very welcome and staff came to say hello.
Not allowed in Bar or Restaurant but can bring them into Lounge area.
You get allocated a higher floor room.

Stayed overnight for wedding

Hotel and staff excellent, but prices charged for drinks, very expensive
3 glasses of wine 25.00

Ordered cooked breakfasts, but very disappointed as food really overcooked and porridge un edible, very disappointing , as previous stay earlier in year food was wonderful,
Ordered snacks and coffee. In lobby and again prices exceedingly high

Would still recommend hotel, but management should look to quality and pricing for snacks and drinks, and quality of breakfast

Clean , tidy modern rooms ( I had 103, close to reception, very comfortable )
We took a dinner bed and breakfast midweek package , 6 sales reps, team meeting, dinner , wine, coffees during the meeting , overnight 6 rooms, spent just over £400 ! Outstanding value .
We will ALWAYS meet here ! Just a few miles off the M1 , 6 miles from Sheffield station, it's really great . If I was staying with my wife, she'd like how clean and tidy the room was and the nice architecture of the building , it's got nice grounds for some fresh air , and overall faultless .

Room Tip: I had 103 , it was very good
