“Amazing wedding day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

I had my wedding on Easter Sunday and it was amazing from start to finish. Jodie our Wedding Planner had been fantastic in the weeks running up to the wedding and nothing was too much trouble. I can be a control freak but I felt I could let the day be managed by Jodie and the team with no stresses or problems. Everything ran smoothly and Jodie and the team put me and my bridesmaids and mum at ease whilst we were using the get ready room. The ceremony room looked beautiful and all the candles really do add to the romance of it all. The wedding breakfast room had been set up just as id imagined and looked fantastic. The food was delicious both during the wedding breakfast and the buffet we chose in the evening. Our honeymoon suite was just brilliant and the bed was so comfortable with the breakfast in the morning being really delicious. The only thing that I thought could have been better was I felt the ceremony music was a little quiet as people couldn't hear the music as we left the ceremony. Other than that the whole day was perfect and one I will always remember. Thanks to everyone!!! Mr and Mrs Oldale :-)

Only picked this hotel as it was the closest place to the restaurant we were eating at and didn't really expect that much. As we turned into the car park I was immediately struck by how nice it looked. Old stone brickwork with a modern conservatory style extension on the front was a great mix of old and new.

On entry to the reception we were greeted by really friendly staff who were happy to help. My only gripe being the reception area itself was far too small.
The room was nothing particularly out of this world and as you would expect for this sort of chain but was a reasonable size, very clean, and really quiet at night.

We had a drink in the lounge area at night which was modern but cosy and the breakfast area was again, clean and tidy.

Cooked breakfast in the morning was really tasty and again, the reception staff really friendly on the way out.

We attended my sons wedding here and it was an excellent choice of venue. From the ceremony to the wedding breakfast - everything was well organised and the staff were helpful and friendly. If your planning a wedding here make sure you include the fairy lights and candles as they were an extra little touch - don't forget to order the Sweet stall - this went down well with both children and adults!

We went to my sons wedding reception at Mossborough hall last weekend. As we arrived from the church down the road after the service , we were met by the staff with lovely canopies and glasses of a very refreshing sparkling rose wine. As it was a nice day we all sat outside in the sunshine till it was time to go into the reception its self.

There was a real wow moment when we walked into the function suit . The tables looked fantastic with their candles and decorations. We had a three course meal. Red pepper soup {very tasty) . Chicken and bubble and squeak and cheesecake to finish . All very nice and piping hot. The vegetarian option got the thumbs up as well .

After the meal there was plenty of room to have a walk up to the main part of the hotel or around the gardens.

The disco started about eight and went on till about mid night.

The bar was well stocked and well staffed. And not stupidly priced as some of these places are. A nice pint of Boddingtons was £3.80 , and a G and T was about £4.50.

If you wanted to retreat from the music, theres a little seating area in the bar which is just outside the function room. If you want even more peace and quiet, its only a minutes walk up to the light and airy hotel bar , which has a little but comfy T.V lounge just around the corner.

When the disco shut at midnight ,as residents we could use the hotel bar till 02.00 . But you have to run a tab as no cash is accepted.

The rooms are very nice .Well furnished and a good sized bath room.

The breakfast was just what you needed after all that celebrating. from an excellent full english to a buffet of fruits pastries ect.

The only thing that I could moan about was check in time was not till 14.00 . Our wedding was at 13.00 and we had guests traveling up from down south so an earlier time would have been much better.
But . Im only nit picking. Every thing on the day went spot on and all the staff were brill
.Just four hundred yard s down the road on the right is St Marks where my son and his wife tied the knot. Its a lovely church and its got a smashin lady vicar as well. The two venues really compliment each other. If you are planning a wedding have a look at St Marks as well as the hotel

We have just returned from a 2 night stay for a wedding on Easter Saturday. Reading that it was a dog friendly hotel we decided to take our large old english sheepdog with us. It was the first time we've travelled with him to discover that he wasn't keen on being left in the room on his own - for any length of time! I cannot use enough words to describe how lovely the staff are at this hotel - without exception - which is what makes this such as great venue. If there is one single thing they can do to make your stay better - they think of it and do it. I was worried about attending the wedding - but they looked after our dog who sat in reception quite happy just being able to see people come and go, wagging his tail. Particular thanks to Alison and Mel and sorry I don't have names of the others. They took it in turns to walk him around the grounds. I also was aware of another lady staying at the time and heard several conversations where they offered her help and support. A great bar, amazing food in the restaurant, comfortable rooms (with marsh mellow beds) and lovely grounds. An absolute must for any dog owners or anyone who fancies a nice place for a break. An amazing wedding/party venue with its own venue by the side of the hotel. We stayed in room 201 above reception and were not disturbed by noise any any point. Room was a little dated but had everything you need - powerful shower, deep bath, toiletries, plentiful towels, extra comfy bed, extra pillows, tea and coffee and a large TV on the wall.

We had a very nice welcome during our stay, all the staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. The view from the window was not that great and blocked the light going into the rroom, but not a problem as we were out all day anyway! Even though we had a good service at the restaurant, the food was not well presented and disppointing (diner service). But to our surprise, the cooked breakfast was generous. The 'buffet room' need a better layout for the food, as it did not look very appetising. Strongly recommend the hotel despite the let down by the restaurant.

I booked 3 rooms for my family to attend to a family wedding. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very nice. Effort was made for one of the rooms to be ready early so that we could Change in time for the wedding.
Nice venue for wedding. Room, clean and comfortable.
I could be wrong because I can't compare to anywhere else but I did feel that £30 was a tad too much to pay for 2 z beds for the children, but at least you could bring your own travel cot.
Drinks was pricey.
