This is a good place for a nice refreshing walk. It's very popular with runners, bike riders and dog walkers depending on the time you go. There is a decent park for the kids, which could do with a little modernising but it's still ok.

There is a cafe which has a good choice but is a little expensive, there is also a separate toilet block which is adequate. There is a newish splash area which has been renovated from the old style padding pools and is more interactive. This is free of charge, however the design has kept the same and it's an arkward straight line design which means you can't always keep an eye on the kids if it's busy due to the layout. It was also disappointing that alot of the water fountains and play equipment in the splash aread were not working.

The nature trail has several dams on route and some nice stepping stones for the kids, but there isn't much beyond this except beautiful scenery.

Absolutely wonderful place to visit. We parked up the valley and walked down towards the parks. So much to see and enjoy. Kids loved the stepping stones and things to explore.

The park at the end (or start!) was fantastic. Kids loved the splash areas. Will definitely visit again.

trying to retrace my younger days I took my Granddaughters to Rivelin and was very much surprised how little it had changed from the late 50's to now .
The sun was shining and the park was full but not over crowded my two granddaughters played on the swings and slides in fact everything while I sat on the benches provided that were plentiful .
there is a wonderful nature trail as well has a marvellous paddling area and for the older a fishing pond .
Rivelin is well worth a visit and with only a few more miles down the road there is Ladybower Reservoir

Had a lovely walk through the trail. Lots of beautiful scenery, waterfalls and stepping stones keeps things entertaining. At the end of the trail is a lovely park, cafe and plenty of space for your own picnic. There is also some shallow river where children can paddle and fish with nets and there are some great shallow splash pools just behind the river. Everything is free, even the parking so all it cost us was the price of an ice-cream. Will definitely be returning soon.
