I'm really sorry the ski village burned down. My kids learned to ski here and loved having parties here, tobogganing, tubing, quad bike riding and more recently, bowling. I was always aware that it seemed to be teetering on financial collapse, a wildness that I quite liked. They seemed to get enough right that you turned a blind eye to the ski village's rough and ready imperfections. It seemed to have great initiatives that didn't always follow through... I remember picking up litter for an hour during my kids' ski lesson, debris left behind from the previous night's party. I didnt mind as you could see the staff were busy and the place had a charm... It was in a lovely aspect with great views... I hope out of the ashes something good comes again of the Sheffield Ski Village... I was devastated to hear it got burned.
