Plenty of parking all around. Escalator and lift access to shops. Most of them close by 8 pm. Food court was open for longer, but beware the choice runs out if you are reaching later than 9 pm. The KFC didn't have any chicken pieces to serve at 9 pm! Had food at a Thai restaurant there. Food was quite good. Nice collection of ladies and gents clothing at Zara. Loved the snacks from the Mediterranean food stall in the foyer on the ground floor. Quite a good place to spend an evening , but come a bit earlier if you have more shopping intent.
Very clean and very little litter. Good variety if shops and eating places. Maybe could do with a few more staff in the main streets to direct and answer questions. Found the staff in the shops generally friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my vist and would recomend it6
First time to Meadowhall and I was really impressed, didn't have any trouble finding a parking space (11am on a Saturday) and was right next to one of the entrances.
I don't know why but I had low expectations, the place was really immaculate and was a much better quality than I was expecting, loads of stores and loads of places to eat as well, I think it had a good mix of fast food and restaurants.
There wasn't a big diversity in the types of shops, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary, just typical high street stores, but all under one roof, perfect.
Went specifically to Debenhams, as i had been informed by a staff member at the Chesterfield branch that they were still selling John Rocha mens wear.
I was told at Meadowhall that they stopped his range of clothing in summer 2018.
Apart from the day out, it was a waste of time.
I love this place , hectic on Boxing Day but that’s to be expected. Love to shop here , we also went to the cinema here which was brill but a total rip off for pick n mix and drinks ( like these places are) we had 5 cokes and a pick n mix and they tried to charge us £54 and we told them to put them back . I’m not tight but won’t be ripped off. Comfort seats and a great experience other than that. Amazing food Court which can be difficult to get a seat at during busy times but staff in there are brilliant and nothing is to much trouble . A credit to Meadowhall .
I have low expectations of Starbucks, as the I believe the product is overpriced and I generally don't buy into the hype. However, the family were keen for overly aerated hot milk and cups half full of ice, so we called in. The queue was well managed, despite being long when we arrived. I ordered the drinks and asked the server not to give us plastic straws or lids as we were drinking at the location (and as a family, we believe these are unnecessary and detrimental to the environment).
After placing and paying for the drinks, I realised I had forgotten to order a Biscotti, so I asked the server if I could have one. I was abruptly told that I would have to go to the end of the queue "as all these other people are waiting to order". I checked that I'd heard correctly then challenged the decision. Fortunately, other staff intervened, apologised and gave me a Biscotti free of charge, which was a kind gesture.
When the cold drinks arrived they came with straws and lids; this may be because a) the server didn't understand me b) there server didn't care about my request (probable) c) the trained process for consistency overrides individual customer requirement (also probable).
It will be a long time until I visit a Starbucks again, if ever.
