We didn't book for Saturday night, but as we were early we were squeezed in. The restaurant used to be a pub - hence the name - and its extremely popular. The car park was nearly full when we arrived, before 7.
We were seated and the menu offered a large choice of dishes, several I hadn't tried before. There were lots of serving staff - very necessary in a busy restaurant - and they all worked very hard (although one chap did seem to be bullying some of the younger ones who were dashing around at speed).
There are some nice booths if you are a party of 4; we were in the main restaurant so could happily people-watch. Its also a lively takeaway.
The food was lovely - decent sized portions and well cooked and presented. Reasonably priced too. The only let down really was that we weren't offered a dessert menu or coffee - maybe they don't do them, we were pretty full after the main course!
I would recommend it, and suggest you book in advance for weekends!
