Went to the Acorn on Mothers Day expecting a nice meal with the family,what a let down.The staff are great pity the food isn't some of our party had roast beef and it was so tough it would have been great to re sole there shoes.I did complain but to no avail so they have now missed out on a double birthday celebration for about 16 people.All in all won't be going back.

Small, well decorated pub, food, staff drinks where all top quality, clearly a well run pub. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty, staff couldn't of done enough, a great visit

very Pleasant, friendly pub, good grub. great value for money. Nice location, ample parking. Check out the blackboard for the specials! My sister-in-Law struggles to decide which pudding!
Plenty of meal deals 2 for 1 etc. great place to treat yourself to dinner - saves cooking!

We visited on sunday we waited ages at the table then had to ask to be served and pub not even busy got drinks order wrong asked for a pint and got half then the food turned up sausage mash and peas with a Yorkshire pudding we paid extra for the sausage was the smallest nasty cheapest sausage I have ever had it was £7.99 and £1.50 for the Yorkshire £9.50 for a crap meal I am writing this at 12.30am as I awake with stomach ache and diarrhea thanks Acorn wont be back ever

We have used the Acorn for food and drinks for a lot of years. Since we moved we only go occasionally now, and I am glad we do. It was always a warm friendly busy little pub with a lovely atmosphere, Now, whatever time you walk in you are greeted with 'reserved' signs on EVERY table, and no one in the pub. If this is an attempt to make it look busy it fails, just go back to doing what you do best, be a Pub that serves good food, and stop thinking you are a Michelin star restaurant.
We arrived on a Friday at 6.30pm there were 3 tables occupied and every other one had the reserved sign, the pub was dead. We went and had a lovely meal at a near by traditional pub.
