“different!”

Enjoyed the variety of food on offer and the unique experience of cooking at the table (Although a bit like fondue) we were warmly welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Worth a visit.

“Won't be back”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

I had hotpot. It's an open area where you could freely select what you want. I saw fly on the sauce, the vegie not fresh, lamb meat very fattening. It clearly shows they are leftovers. Not going back as for the price you pay, you can have better choice.

“Good value”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Went as a group of 7, had the traditional hotpot and the BBQ hotplate buffet.

From the outside this place looks old and dated windows where all steamed up and that it would be nothing special, but inside it tells a diffrent story the staff for one where all fantasic and could not be more helpful, the place was clean and well decorated. plently of room around the table we was at, was good value as well for the buffett with a great selection of meet veg and noodles to choose from.

I did come across a couple of flaws
1- Our hot plate was very tempremental but nothing the staff could do about it as its built into the table, It took a while to get going but then stopped quickly then kicked off again, we had two to use due to size of our party which i guess did not borther us too much but can imagine its a bit of a pain should you only have the one to use.
2- the colour of the lights around the open fridge where the meat was kept looks to be set in a way which means choosing the food was hard/impossible to select which would have been the freshest its almost like a red/blue UV colour I for one did not like this as it made me cautious about why they had done it that way - was there something to hide??

“No chef no food”
Reviewed 6 June 2013 via mobile

We arrived at ten past 12 and ordered at 1215.at 1245 we queried where our food was only to be then told the chef had not arrived !! I asked why we weren't informed at which point he just apologised for his stupidity. I asked when he was planning to inform us and he said he wasn't . He failed to even bring our drink over . There were 3 other parties in the restauant whom were not aware the chef had not arrived .we had to leave went to noodle inn across the road got tea as prawn crackers within a matter of minutes .
Very dissapointed at the level of stupidly total waste of time .
Shame as the place has potential.

“What a find!”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

We stayed in the Premier Inn near here and I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and so decided to give it a try. Very glad that we did. It looks nothing from the outside but inside it is very clean and well laid out. Loved the tables with the built in grills. It is very good value but we couldn't really do it justice. We had a rice pot each with extra skewers of squid and beef. Great quality food and very filling. We took our own wine and just paid a corkage charge. Our meal came with ice cream as well and cost just £20 for the two of us. The staff loved the fact that we asked for chopsticks. I will definately eat here again when I am in Sheffield again.
