“Steve is a credit to the Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

Went for a look around this facilty whilst my son in a closed session at the rink. I am interested in all thigs sport so thought it might be interesting.
As soon as you walk through the door you can see quality - facilities, functionality & staff.
We were scratching round downstairs when asked by a member of staff if we needed any help - we just said we were looking to look around if that was ok. We were pointed to the major attraction of the indoor track by the very friendly guy.
Whilst we were there he joined us (found out his name was Steve) & said he could show us around - wow we saw more than we were expecting & he made a simple visit an absolute memorable occasion - we both thouroughly enjoyed it & his knowledge about the centre & its atheles it second to none. My son would have loved it!
Loads of things to see, watch & take in - dont fotget to see the Olympic record long jump on the floor & high jump on the wall - just about finished it great for us.
A great hour spent with a great guy who is an absolute credit to the place. Well done Steve - you are doing a great job!!!!! & thanks for your time.

“Great venue to compete, but disappointment for audience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Stunning facility both inside and out and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the experience of competing, what we didn't particularly appreciate was the 3 hours we spent sitting on the floor because there weren't any seats left! Not what you expect when you've booked and paid for seats weeks in advance, so could've been a little better organised.

“Indoor Games”

Great atmosphere and very good value. We had tickets for both days. It's a small venue but the event was well run.

“Great facilities, instructors and classes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2013

I've not been to the main gym in EIS, but I've been to a number of classes for almost a year now, and thoroughly recommend going. With a LifeCard, classes are much cheaper than elsewhere, and there are sessions for a whole variety of interesting sports (boxing, athletics, various martial arts, fencing), which makes a great change from the usual aerobics classes: you're learning and having fun as well as getting fitter.

The boxing instructor at the adult amateur academy classes is first rate, and the indoor track that takes up most of the room inside looks in great condition, and makes for a good way to pass the time when you're waiting for your class to start: if you've ever wondered how anyone manages to learn how to pole vault, wonder no more!
