“Very good stay at a good price - Taybarn restaurant nextdoor could improve”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2012

Stayed one night on business. Hotel, accomodation and staff were very good. The Taybarn restaurant (buffet) next door was very popular and well priced although the quality of the food and its warmth varied from fairly good to poor

This being the second Premier Inn on my recent business trip (the 1st being in Manchester), I was pleased that the room was just as clean, the staff just as courteous and the accommodations most adequate. Be sure to bring your own toiletries, as there is little provided and breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was an additional charge. However, a full English breakfast can easily carry you through the day until dinner. Free Wi-Fi is available for 30 minutes per day. Just enough to grab your emails, etc. Additional time requires purchase.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the lobby have better Wi-Fi reception.

£58 a night for two rooms - 4 adults and 2 children - less than £20 a day for our breakfast. That's really good value and at that price you don't really expect much. What we got for our money was much more. The room was large and clean and bright, the bathroom was better that many 3 and 4 star hotels I have stayed in. The king size double bed was very comfortable. WiFi is free for 30 mins or £3 for 24 hours - that's great value. The staff were friendly and helpful. Well done Premier Inn you could teach the big name rip-off hotels a thing or two about value for money.

Staying here on business, the room itself was very good, albeit the room temperature controls did not seem to want to work!! The hotel is currently going through a refurbishment, but I was fortunate to arrive after work had finshed for the day and leave before it started...

If I stayed here again I would definitely NOT eat in the Taybarn Restuarant again as it was noisy and full of people who seemed to be competing on how much food could be put onto one plate...not a pleasant eating experience, and one I shall definitely avoid in the future

We met friends and family in Sheffield for an Engagement Celebration. The Premier Inn was in a good location on the outskirts of Sheffield. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and the staff were polite and helpful. The restaurant attached had a good buffet selection "all you could eat" for £8.99. We were pleasantly surprised with the Hotel as it was much better than the Travelodge we once stayed in.

This was a half-way overnight for us on a trip from Kent to Scotland. Strange location, it has to be said, but the hotel was great. The receptionist on arrival couldn't have been more welcoming, and the staff the following morning were very helpful. Our car was shrouded in ice, but one of the ladies went out with a spray and cleared it for us. Brilliant. The room was clean, comfortable and most of all, quiet. Dinner in the barn was an experience - fun and good food, though not one we'd probably want to repeat.

Room Tip: Aim for the back of the hotel, with only a grassy embankment outside the window.
