“Great value, spacious well appointed room”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

We read the reviews and booked with some trepidation but our fears were unfounded. We were given a super spacious well furnished room overlooking the courtyard with a distant view of the river which was across the road. The room had everything you want need for a comfortable stay, including a large flat screen TV, DVD player, with coffee and tea making facilities even biscuits. Tip: Take your own coffee if you are a coffee drinker. There was a full spacious bathroom with tub and overhead shower. Toiletries were supplied. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed comfortable. There was some noise until about 11pm from the courtyard customers which did not bother us as we are not early to bed people. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast (which you order the night before) was freshly cooked and plentiful. We saw the family room which was two inter joining rooms, on the side so probably not effected by the noise from the courtyard, and brilliant for families. . The only downside is that there is no parking at the hotel and if you are lucky enough to get a space on the street you have to move your car early in the morning. This however was not an issue for us, but if you are elderly or infirm you may find the short walk from the car park with luggage off putting. Having said that we will definitely stay again next time we are in Ironbridge.

Room Tip: Ask for the room at the front overlooking the courtyard and you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here a couple of times as I was working in the area. Rooms very nice for the money and the breakfast the next morning was superb. Pleasant staff behind the bar also and free wi-fi in the room. Was on my own but it would be perfectly suitable for families. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Ironbridge a smashing little town as well with enough pubs & eateries to keep you occupied on the evenings

Just down from the Irionbridge with the river on the left, the White hart is on the right.it has a nice outside seating area. The pub has a good selection of beers which diminished durging the night. The blueberry was very nice. Our party moved upstairs to the resturant. The starters were not bad thought one of the cheesy nachos was overdone. I had hunters chicken to follow which was good, sadly the meal was not enjoyed by the rest of the party, fajitas were very salty with the pitta so well over done you could use them as skimmers. The steak and ale pie pastry was under cooked, but the most disappointment was the steaks, they were of such poor quality, one of party had to wait ages to get his, everyone had finished their meal and his was chewy and tough that he could not eat it, and would have been best to use it as a sole for his shoes. A request was made for the Manager or Chef but neither came, simular to one of the other reviews, staff were told of the poor quality. I understand some reduction was made, after complaints at the bar.

We have just spent a weeks honeymoon at the White Hart. This is an excellent place to stay. ALL the staff were so friendly and really helpful. We arrived earlier than expected but it was not a problem as our room was ready. The room was spacious and spotless with everything from tea & coffee, complimentary water, TV and iron and ironing board and also free Wi-Fi. The breakfast was also out of this world "delicious" we will defiantly be returning.

We stayed for a couple of nights in room 1. This is a nice big room overlooking the river with a comfortable double bed, two armchairs, good sized bathroom, plenty of storage space and a large flatscreen TV with DVD player (which we didn't use). Wi-fi is provided as well as an ethernet port and cable for wired internet connection. Lovely to have a bit of space in the room for a change, when so many places offer cramped accomodation.

Staff were friendly and professional and the breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect, being right on the river and very close to the bridge. There's very little with which to find fault here.

If being picky we might say that the wi-fi internet is a little unreliable, there's no on-site parking (though you can park on the road nearby) and that the bath can get slippy when showering - no rubber mat provided.

We stayed for a couple of days as part of a two-week road trip, and this place was the pick of the bunchWe'd definitely stay here again.

We have just come home from a two night stay at the White Hart in Ironbridge and I wanted to say how much we enjoyed ourselves. The room was very clean and comfortable, with complimentary bottled water as well as the usual tea and coffee. The shower was big enough for two and in this hot weather was used twice a day, there was even complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in case you had forgotten your own; a nice touch.

The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and the breakfasts were very good. We also had a meal on our first evening, sat outside in the courtyard watching the world go by. The food was enjoyable and it was lovely to be able to eat outdoors as it was so hot. All drinks and meals were simply added to our room bill, which saved getting money or cards out every time.

The location is excellent for visiting the attractions of Ironbridge, you can stroll up to the famous bridge in a few minutes and it is centrally located for all the other sites. The parking restriction in the marked bays on the road is not enforced, so if you can get one there is no problem, my car was parked from Tuesday afternoon, until Thursday morning without issue.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: Room three has two windows, so with both open you could get a through breeze to help cool down. The...
