We have visited The Tea Emporium Iron-bridge on past occasions, though the last time was circa five years ago. Today was another special day, "being out with my wife is always a special day", no I was not prompted to say that, well not on this occasion. A pleasant amble along the riverside, taking a few photos of the iconic iron bridge, enjoying a quintessential English Summer's day, warranted a simple, but nice afternoon tea ( in our case, de-caf cappuccino) scones , clotted cream and preserves. The Tea Emporium, offers a varied menu and on previous occasions, we enjoyed our culinary experience. Today was no exception. Sharing a table for two, shaded beneath a parasol, eating al fresco, taking in the scenery & appreciating blue skies was indeed idyllic. The service was good, the front of house staff were very pleasant and the cost was reasonable. We shan't leave it so long to visit next time. If you are not in hurry, The Tea Emporium is worth a visit. We liked it.
