“A Quintessential English Afternoon Tea”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We have visited The Tea Emporium Iron-bridge on past occasions, though the last time was circa five years ago. Today was another special day, "being out with my wife is always a special day", no I was not prompted to say that, well not on this occasion. A pleasant amble along the riverside, taking a few photos of the iconic iron bridge, enjoying a quintessential English Summer's day, warranted a simple, but nice afternoon tea ( in our case, de-caf cappuccino) scones , clotted cream and preserves. The Tea Emporium, offers a varied menu and on previous occasions, we enjoyed our culinary experience. Today was no exception. Sharing a table for two, shaded beneath a parasol, eating al fresco, taking in the scenery & appreciating blue skies was indeed idyllic. The service was good, the front of house staff were very pleasant and the cost was reasonable. We shan't leave it so long to visit next time. If you are not in hurry, The Tea Emporium is worth a visit. We liked it.

Regards, PR

“Pleasant stop for late lunch”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We stopped here for a very late lunch. There was a breakfast menu (!!) which was still in force, so we had a vegetarian breakfast each, plus tea and coffee. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. the meal was good, not as greasy as some breakfasts can be.

The location is a little odd - sitting outside, partly in the square at Ironbridge, with a view of the (tidy) public conveniences!! In the other direction, there is a distant view of the Iron Bridge, with car parking in between.

The Post Office next door, in a block of interesting appearance, has closed, and a planning permission notice suggests that the Tea Emporium will be moving in to this space. this will be beneficial - despite the w.c.s, this provided a pleasant place at which to stop.

“Lunch Alfresco”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

We had a quick lunch on a recent day trip to Ironbridge.

Little cafe serving really good lunches

Fare was sandwiches and brunch style hot and cold food. We had a mix of special, salad, and baked potato.

Good portions, really fresh and a great atmosphere.

We eat outside in the square - beautiful scenery looking across the gorge.

“Perfect Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Visited yesterday and sat outside in the sunshine, a very polite and courteous young lady took our order, and explained that the food is cooked to order and would be about 15 mins, after 10 mins or so our vegetarian breakfasts arrived, we chose the grilled halloumi option. It was delicious and beautifully cooked. Would definitely return.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

I love this cafe and have been on a number of occasions, the staff are wonderful and very friendly. Yesterday my Nan and I had the warm sausage and chorizo potato salad which was delicious, the food is homemade and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this cafe!
