We took up the half board offer and it was well worth it! Needed to walk around museums to burn off the calories as their portions are very generous.
Most relaxing night sleep on the memory foam mattresses, hosts all friendly and nothing too much bother for them.

We stayed for one night in the top floor. Loads of room in the upstairs bedroom but mind the beam. Decor was acceptable. Host was great and very friendly. Food was basic pub grub and the location was nice on the river.

Had an over night stay here Sunday 18th August and sampled and evening meal. Sunday roast execellent. Meat cooked just right, ample variety and portion of 3 different vegetables, roast potatoes and yorkshire pudding. Enjoyed by all. Not just Sunday roast also available were specials and main menu with a variety to suit all (including vegeterians). Good choice, good food and good service what more could you ask for?

We only stayed over night and was welcomed by a good clean room, comfortable bed and hearty cooked breakfast to follow a good nights sleep. Just wish we had stayed longer.

grumpy landlord who informed us the sunday roasts were not available on arrival , and then when we ordered food that the specials were not on either. When the food did arrive it was in generously sized portions.

my wife and i stayed for three nights the food was more than we could eat and we were made very welcome at all times and the view over the river was worth getting out off bed for easy car parking but try and avoid parking under the trees bird droppings if you are using tom tom or the aa map when you get near ironbridge you will get routed down a single track rd with no passing places and a very steep hill so stay on the main rd

Room Tip: best rooms 2 and 3 room 1 ok but 4 overlooks the car park

We were in Room 1 for one night. This pub/restaurant/inn was older (1774) than the Iron Bridge (1779) and creaked a bit, but that was part of the charm. The proprietor was friendly and helpful, somewhat patient with us. He showed us to our room and explained the steps down into our private bathroom with a shower (large room). There was a small hall from our bathroom with 4 steps up to our twin room. The hall had a light with a motion sensor for safely. Our room was smallish, but adequate. There was a desk with a TV occupying half of it, but the other half was usable for our laptop. There was space to set up a luggage stand, and a wardrobe. Our window faced the side of the building overlooking picnic tables. Though the road was heavily traveled, the traffic died down during the night hours and did not disturb our sleep. The bed was the most comfortable of the 8 or 9 B&Bs we have stayed at during these three weeks, the proprietor telling us that they were memory foam mattresses. Also, the window had excellent darkening drapes and light did not awaken us in the morning.
