We had a fantastic time at Blists Hill - we ranged in age from 10-72 and everyone had a wonderful day.

There is so much to do and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, a wonderful family environment. Being able to take our dog in was an added bonus!

I would thoroughly recommend the fish and chips (yum!) and the singing in the pub!

For an attraction of this quality everthing was fantastic value for money from the food to the sweet shop!

As a teacher this venue is a superb place for children to experience a snap shot of Victorian life - I'm planning on bringing my class to see it for themselves!

Thank Fran O

What a fab day out - the brochure said allow 3 hours - it's wrong - you need all day. Will be visiting again.

When we first walked in we looked down the replica Victorian street and a smile spread across all our faces. Little did we know that off this street was another, and another, and another until we began to wonder if it ever ended. We had a great day out making our own candles, watching plays in the town square, drinking in the local inn, buying biscuits and bread from the bakers, and getting told off by the headmaster in the old fashioned school. Highly recommend, easily a whole days worth of activities, if you're happy to get involved.

We spent the day here and , if anything, wish the day had been longer! It is absolutely fascinating! The volunteers and staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and bring the shops and various trades to life. Really enjoyed the sing song in the pub! Beautifully thought out, though more local gifts in the shops would be great. As this is a big site, do wear comfy shoes! There is something for everyone. Great fun using old money as well - you change modern money for shillings and pence, which you can shop with. A great day ut for any age.

Blists Hill is exactly how museums should be - involving and fun for all ages and perfect for a family day out. I visited with my niece, great niece (aged 6) and sister and really couldn't fault it. The costumed museum staff all happily chat to you about 'their life, work and home' and the whole emphasis is on participation and literally 'living' the experience, rather than having to read lots of information. My sister and I shared previously almost forgotten memories of grandparents, and it was a fantastic opportunity to pass those memories onto the next two generations. We especially loved the sing along in the pub, the fish and chips, the mine tunnel, the Victorian fairground, the carpenters & blacksmiths, the squatters cottage, the beautiful (and really well looked after) shire horses and the fabulous setting in the stunning Ironbridge Gorge. But everything really was great - real quality time that was so rewarding for all four of us on many different levels and definitely worth the money. Well done Ironbridge!
