A pleasant little museum with some lovely examples of the work that was (is) produced in the area. Also has a number of workshop rooms where you can see and do the process of making the China for yourself.

I have pretty much no interest in porcelain in general, but still found this place very interesting.

I thought I deserved a medal for bravery taking small children to a china museum but no - it is really child friendly.
Just down the road from the YMCA (great cafe) this is a must visit part of the Ironbridge experience. Buy a passport - it is really good value.
The china section is behind glass making it child friendly and interesting. The factory part is the highlight. We spent a long and happy time painting paper plates and watching a lady painting a china plate and all left very happy!
Well worth a visit.

Sometimes it's hard to remember that Britain ever made things. This museum proves we did - and made them beautifully. There's a wonderful display of china articles, decorative and practical, and demonstrations of pottery, flower-making and decoration.

There's a bottle kiln packed with saggars (clay troughs) full of items to be fired. Don't miss the glass workshop where there are demonstrations of articles in the making. China, glass and saggars may all be bought in the workshops or the main shop. An enjoyable hour's visit.

Part of the museums of the gorge. Two ladies were demonstrating who they made delicate china flowers, which was interesting. A fascinating insight into an industry sadly gone - although the workind conditions would have been horrific.

This was very interesting and has some beautiful china on display. The little craft workshops are also worth looking around and there are some lovely things to buy.
