“Few posters and a 10 minute film - not worth the money.”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Disappointed with this attraction. If visiting Ironbridge you can buy a pass to visit the ten museums but this is quite pricey. I decided to visit this museum with my 9 year old son to find out a bit more about the local area. Although the posters were well done we had viewed them in 10 minutes then a 10 minute film (which was interesting)and we were done.
If visited as part of the museum pass would be fine but not value for money on its own. We spent longer in the shop.
The toll house on the bridge is free and has more posters.

“Easter visit”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

Parked early next to the Museum, car park filled up quickly plus maximum time 3 hours. Clean toilets available. Agree it's a small museum and it would be worthwhile to visit this first as a previous reviewer mentioned as a quick overview of the Ironbridge history. The windows in one part of the museum overlooking the Severn are beautiful and also the river markings in the building are a sharp reminder of the strength of this rivers nature. I would suggest you park for the full day near the Darby House for £1.50 and explore on foot.

“dissapointing and overpriced”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

Having paid £2.30 for parking, we were enticed in by the promise a suggested 45 mins to tour the museum. .....it actually took about 20, plus a ten minute intro film to the history of the area.... and plug forthe other museums.
The museum ticket cost 3.50 for seniors, and is valid for a year ! Totally uneccesary, as you've seen it all in 15/20 mins
Were very dissapointed, and felt ripped off. The antique shop across the car park was far more interesting, and free, with a nice little cafe to boot.
Perhaps we were spoilt by the museum of lost conten in craven arms the day before, only a fiver, and could have spent days in there

“Informative but small”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

Visited between Christmas and New Year 2013 the staff on duty were friendly and helpful. The displays were informative but the whole visit could be done in under 30 mins.
