“Absolutely perfect! We loved it. Cannot fault.”
Reviewed 1 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We have stayed here twice and on both occasions we have loved it! We will definitely recommend it to anyone (I've started doing it already) In fact, I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else in Telford!

The owner Howell responds quickly and his thoughtfulness really is appriciated. When we first stayed in December he kindly put up Christmas decorations which really made the place feel homely and warmed me to the place instantly. I didn't have my decorations up at home due to decorating and it made me feel in the holiday spirit.
This weekend was a last minute booking due to work commitments and even though it wasn't the usual booking process Howell kindly accepted and once again on arrival his thoughtfulness shone through. Thank you once again for this.
The welcome bundle is greatly appriciated also.

The whole place is cleaned to an immaculate level and the cottage has everything you can think of to make your stay really feel like a home away from home. Kindly, there's extra touches such as a car park pass so that you don't have to pay, an xbox 360 if you're into gaming (or to watch netflix on), DVD's, CD and bathroom kits incase you forget anything (shower gel, shower cap etc) There's also dressing gowns and slippers. Anything you think you'll need at home is there!
The heated flooring is one of my personal favourite parts, there's nothing worse than cold feet and this keeps them lovely and warm.
As for utilities there's everything you'd need including things you wouldn't usually use and are handy such as: a bottle stop, garlic crusher and potato peeler. There's even a washing machine and dishwasher which most holidays lettings that I have stayed in do not have.

The bed is really comfortable and the bedding is immaculate. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious with beautiful views of the river (especially the bathroom window) The living area downstairs is very homely with a beautiful beam ceiling and electric fire in where would of been the original fireplace I believe. It really gives you the private cosy feeling you want when you stay away. The kitchen is small but the space is used geniously, I personally love the Bristol sink!

The garden is also very tidy and even though it is on a slant is great. I can imagine in the summer it would be ideal for outside bbq's or sitting and relaxing. Howell kindly warned us the first time we stayed about the steps being slippy due to the frost and with them being partly wood they were words to stick to.

I couldn't think of a fault with the property. The only advise I'd offer is be careful with the narrow road up and down from the property.

“Just Perfect”
Reviewed 17 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Our second stay at The Look Out and we can't wait for a third. Immaculate, cosy, tastefully decorated and in a great location. A perfect base for walkers, foodies, historians and chillers.

“Brilliant”
Reviewed 14 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Our stay in the Look Out was absolutely brilliant, it was like home from home. All the little extras made it a pleasurable stay right from when we arrived with the welcome pack. The cottage is cosy and has a warm happy feel to it, everything is within walking distance. I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend staying here.

Great little cottage, the parking is by permit but this was provided, the location is great as its just a minutes walk into town the alley near the cottage brings you out very near the bridge.

“A cosy base for exploring the local area”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring Ironbridge and the local area. It is a lovely, cosy home from home which is finished to a very high standard. The kitchen is well equipped, the welcome pack of milk, tea etc. was much appreciated. We spent a lot of time walking on the Long Mynd and enjoyed coming back to our cosy base at the end of the day. Pubs in town were welcoming and we had a lovely meal at The a White Hart. Would definitely stay here again.

“Gorgeous cottage, great attention to detail, perfect location”

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Lookout after a wonderful time spent there. The owner has really worked hard to make the place welcoming and comfortable, and there is everything you could possibly need. Lots of lovely little touches including soaps, nice fluffy towels and tea/coffee etc. meant that it felt more like a hotel stay than a self-catering one! The owner couldn't have been more helpful when we had a little hiccup with the keys and she has been incredibly helpful throughout the booking process etc. too. The location is perfect- literally a 2 minute walk to the Iron bridge itself, and a great view of it from the window too. All in all, a wonderful stay and certainly high on our list for a return visit in the future.

“Romantic cosy cottage”

Everything that was provided was well thought out. Also it was lovely to have the little extra touches added. This included slippers, tea coffee & gorgeous chocolate. Also in the bathroom there was a lovely welcome pack of soaps, shampoo ect. Dressing gowns lovely & soft. Everything was easy to find. We did have a slight problem getting the key from the safe outside. Once we put the combination in, we couldn't find how to open it. we eventually, after about half an hour we managed it. All in all a good week.

Thank you for your response but sorry to hear you had a problem with the key safe. You just have to pull the cover down once you have keyed the code in and the keys can be located inside.

Thank you for staying at The Look Out.
