I visited the Ludlow Food Centre on October 29th 2013, found a leaflet in a tourist place and just thought it looked interesting.
Lots of parking available (despite it being half term) but the queue to be seated in the café was long and not moving so decided to shop instead.
Lovely light and airy building, crammed with foodie treats.
The fresh meats looked delicious but sadly as I was holidaying for a few days and staying in a hotel, it wasn't practical to try any.
There was also a wide variety of very fresh looking veg which looked delicious.
I tried a large tub of the home produced ice cream, salted caramel flavour and can safely say it was delicious and quickly consumed once back in the hotel room!!
Also tried a slice of quiche from the deli and a sausage roll, both excellent and the quiche had more meat in it than any other I have purchased.......very generous portion.
The candied orange slices covered with thick dark bitter chocolate was also delicious......and instead of being saved as a Christmas treat, it was eaten as soon as we got home......wish I had bought more!!
So lots of tasty treats here, but top prices charged.....no surprise there. I frequent a lot of Farmers Markets and the prices were similar, but a much larger choice at the Ludlow Food Centre.
If I was a local, I would definitely be shopping here frequently!
