Room was very spacious, warm, comfortable and clean.

Breakfast was delicious especially the locally sourced Ludlow sausages.

Ideal location within easy walking distance of the historic town and its many visitor attractions.

Would recommend to everyone and we will be back!

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of October. The lady who runs the place, Sue, is very nice and helpful and the bed in the room we stayed in was incredibly comfortable - I had the best night's sleep I'd had in ages. The central location is perfect for walking into town and close enough to Mr Underhills' to walk there too. Oh and the breakfasts were lovely although I would have liked more than one tiny sausage because they were so good!
Like the previous reviewer, I agree that there are some minor problems. The central heating is on a timer so the rooms were often very cold, particularly around 5pm when we came back from a day's sightseeing. There are cobwebs in some of the corners and there was no shower in our room - just a lovely rolltop bath which was very pleasant to soak in but a little inconvenient in the morning when in a hurry to get out and enjoy the day. The main annoyance for us was the fact that the main door leading into the guest accomodation and the other guests's doors all slam very loudly and rattle in the door frames. This often woke us very early in the morning or late at night as some guests came and went. I'm sure the problem could be fixed quite easily and I would suggest they look into this. All in all, a good stay though!

Great central position, within the town walls, hidden away behind wooden double doors,a little hard to see,so slow down when you get onto Brand Lane(it's on your left about halfway down).
The 3 bedrooms are in a bungalow in the grounds next to the main house.
The rooms are well furnished and initially the impression is good, but is let down by things like cobwebs in the ceiling corners and some of the lights have failed but not replaced.
the rooms when we stayed had not been aired so they smelt a bit damp.
There is a variety in rooms, one with bath, one with shower etc.
The breakfast is very good which is in the main house.
I get the impression that the owners feel they do not have to do too much as they are in a unique position and that in itself is a great selling point.
So overall,it's an ok place to stay and I would certainly return to Branlea and would recommend it ,as we have done to friends already.
