“Wish they had bigger premises”
Reviewed 31 October 2009

My only criticism of Parkway is that it is very small and a bit cramped but what wonderful food. Chef Dean certainly knows how to cook and he's not in the least pretentious, we asked for our duck to be well done and (unlike many places) that was 'no problem' . The appetizers and pre-deserts (both complimentary) are gorgeous, starters and mains are delicious and puds are 'to die for'. It isn't cheap but it is good value and you certainly get what you pay for. I'll certainly be back and I'd recommend it to anyone.

“Parkway Ludlow - what a deligh!”
Reviewed 6 October 2009

Had a fantastic meal at Parkway on 30/09/09. A friend tipped us off about this gem of a place and we luckily found the last table. We had a few tapas to share as starters and were not disappointed. These dishes were indredibly tasty, fresh, authentic and well priced. For the mains, my husband had a tasty and generously sized fillet of local lamb and I had seabass on a bed of seafood quinoa. Both dishes were accompanied by crunchy, well prepared vegetables and in both cases the meat and fish were delicious and well seasoned and not overcooked. The wine was also very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a genuine, 'real' kind of restaurant with unpretentious values and all-round excellent flavours. Better still, the chef obviously cares about using local produce as the majority of his dishes feature local meats (even snails!) and cheese.
The desserts looked fantastic too - we'll have to try them next time!
Best not to chance it like we did and reserve a table.

“A real find!”
Reviewed 1 September 2009

We went for an evening meal on 22nd August 2009. Cosy atmosphere in the upstairs dining room, very friendly staff and excellent locally sourced main courses. Tapas starters particularly fine and would recommend the mussels! Our main courses of mutton, sea bass and pork were all delicious! (The mutton is a speciality of the chef.) Drinks prices reasonable - we had the house wine and it was fine.

“Small place, knowledgable chef, very fresh food.”
Reviewed 12 August 2009

First visit to Ludlow and had been told about all the fabulous restaurants and places too eat, we looked and couldn't find many. Then came across this place, so small you could miss it and think it was just a cafe. 6 of us for a Sat evening meal nearly filled upstairs. menu could be said to be limited but what there is was excellent. Including numerous courses and reasonable amount of wine still less than £30 each Personable staff and a chef who could tell you everything about where the food was from. Cooked to perfection and served with humour. A delightful evening and we will return. Excellent value for money which we couldn't say about a more expensive restaurant nearby!

“Best meal for a long time”
Reviewed 5 August 2009

We visited the Parkway for a Saturday lunch and as a result, we returned for dinner. The lunch was a sandwich, which was very good, but we could have also had a choice of tapas. The dinner was excellent, with the almond tart well worth the stated 20 minutes wait. Although a fairly small place, the atmosphere and service was brilliant. The Parkway is down a narrow alley off Corve Street and not easy to see, but it is well worth finding. We would definitely go again when we return to Ludlow.
