My husband and I selected this B & B after reading a previous review. It was an excellent choice.

The Victorian property is full of character.

There are 2 bedrooms, one is a double room with a very large double bed, the bathroom is just down the landing for this room, and the other bedroom is a twin bedded room with an ensuite bathroom. We chose the double room, the bed is lovely and comfortable and the pillows, duvet and linen are very good quality. Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied in the bedroom and ample milk for the drinks. There is also a TV in the room.

We were supplied with 2 lovely dressing gowns to wear to the bathroom. The bathroom has a large bath and also a shower and sink and, of course, a toilet. There are thoughtful finishing touches like cotton wool balls and buds, paper tissues, disposable razors, handwash etc and bottled water if desired.

The breakfast cannot be faulted. There is a choice of cereal, fresh fruit salad, grapefruit and yogurts followed by a full English breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausage, tomato and fried bread and toast and jams. Continental breakfast is also available.

In addition there is a very welcoming sitting room with plenty of books to browse through and a lovely open fireplace.

There is parking available outside the house and the town centre is just a five minute walk away. The railway station is also just a few minutes away.

Congratulations to a perfect hostess and thank you for a very memorable visit.

Myself and my partner stayed at this B&B for two nights leading up to the food festival last weekend. We cannot praise it enough, especially since we had a very opposite experience in Shrewsbury a few days later. Angela the owner is a perfect hostess who knows how to run a business and is extremely friendly. The house is beautiful, the room a delight (with a fantastic view of Ludlow) and the standard of quality and hygiene unsurpassed. The breakfasts were amazing - wonderfully cooked with all variety of fresh fruit and alternatives available. If you are staying in Ludlow, check this out. Her knowledge of Ludlow and the surrounding area was invaluable and there was plenty of leaflets, books and brochures in our room. We cannot recommend it enough.

When planning a visit to Ludlow with my wife and friend for the Easter break we initially looked at the larger B&Bs. After a little research I came across this boutique B&B. As we have a small baby we wanted a place where we wouldn't disturb other guests, and 37 Gravel Hill seemed ideal for our needs, so we booked two rooms for the weekend. My wife and I shared a large room with our baby, and our friend occupied the other room. Both rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, and the house was beautiful. Guests have access to a relaxing lounge room and the excellent breakfasts were served in a lovely dining room by our wonderful host. Staying at 37 Gravel Hill is like visiting with good friends; very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this boutique B&B due to its charm, comfort and location.
