We have just returned from a three night stay at Acorn Place, Ludlow. Delightful room with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, hills, sheep and alpaca's. However the highlight of the stay is the BREAKFAST lovingly prepared by our Host, Peter Gillham. Peter and Sally grow all their own herbs and use only local produce when possible. The breakfasts are the best I have ever tasted and the scrambled egg with smoked salmon is a delight, you won't be dissapointed I promise!

A great place to stay! We opted for a self catering room, which was great value for a 4 night stay. Fantastic views from the kitchen area, it was peaceful but within walking distance of Ludlow Centre. A good base with plenty to visit in the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed a day walking on Long Mynd.

Acorn Place rates four stars on the Visit England scale and fully deserves that rating. The house is superbly located, just on the edge of Ludlow, with wonderful views. Peter's warm greeting set the tone for a great stay. We had the Whitcliffe room and although we stayed B&B the microwave, fridge etc provided for self-catering were available to us. A great room with two comfortable easy chairs and good en-suite.
Prepare yourself for breakfast and have no doubt about a man cooking and serving for a change - the food is five star! You'll be well fed on the best of everything, including home-made bread. Without a doubt we would go back!

Beautiful house with lovely views. Spacious accomodation, in a self-contained ground floor apartment with our own front door and internal door straight into the breakfast room. Home made bread, drop scones and delicious sausages - truly great breakfast. Friendly and helpful service. Ludlow has it's own brewery and if , like me, you enjoy real ale you will be spoilt for choice. Try the Unicorn pub for good food. Leominster is worth a visit for antique shops and the best cake ever tasted at the Emporium Tea Rooms.

Our first time in Ludlow. The B&B was easy to find. Our room was the Long Mynd too - a room once in you don't want to leave. Very friendly people who gave us an excellent breakfast. We walked into and around Ludlow - a very pleasant place indeed - and had a good meal in the Unicorn.

From the minute we drove up to Acorn Place we fell in love with the house it's lovely and in a scenic part of Ludlow surrounded by fields of sheep and cattle. We met the owners of the house and they were very friendly taking our luggage and showing us our room. Our room called the Long Mynd was breathtaking very well decorated, clean and with a stunning view.
The local amenities of Ludlow town centre are within twenty minutes walking distance of the house and a very pleasant walk it is. We would highly recommend The Olive Branch restaurant for dinner the food is very tasty.
I liked everything about our stay in this house can't fault it at all we only stayed one night next time we go it will be for longer. The breakfast was all local produce and the owners make their own bread!
Our experience was trully unforgettable and definitely one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in.
