“Great place”
Reviewed 8 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Myself and a group of friends all with children between 9yrs & 13yrs, have just returned from the Manor house.
We all had a great time the house had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen. The children loved the garden which was a large outdoor space with great hiding places and plenty of things to keep them entertained, we never saw them unless they were hungry!!
Emma the house manager was very friendly giving us fresh eggs from the chickens in the garden and saving the cauliflower cheese by providing us with some “forgotten” cornflour !! Thanks Emma
This is a lovely location to kick back relax, walk, play golf and be merry, until the next time .

“Just wonderful”

We were expecting good things from the pictures and reviews - but these don't even do the place justice.

Grounds are amazing - we spent a lot of time trying to improve our golf and croquet and enjoyed seeing the chickens on a regular basis.

The house itself is amazing and excellently designed for a mixed age group. The younger members tended to congregate in the TV room and the rest of us in the large living room. Excellent wi-fi meant that everyone was happy.

We were lucky enough to have the master bedroom, which was incredible. I think it's the largest room and en-suite that I have ever been lucky enough to stay in, bed was very comfortable. The drapes are quite light with no blinds, so if like me you like a dark room then it might be worth investing in an eye mask ( travel section of Boots !).

All the rooms were good and the bunk beds in my sons room would have suited an adult as well as a child.

Emma & Chris live in the house beside and are there to help if you have any queries, but don't intrude on you. Emma does an excellent job on the cleaning - the property was immaculate when we arrived, which is not often the case for a house that size.

The Manor House is close to Ludlow, but not within walking distance of any shops or restaurants. There is a very basic pub within a shortish walk and Richards Castle is definitely worth the short but steep walk. There are loads of lovely walks and castles within short driving distance.

Just a wonderful place, I wish it was closer.

“Fantastic house with beautiful grounds”
Reviewed 26 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This is a beautiful house, well supplied and maintained. The grounds are fantastic and the golf course was fun. The greens are perfectly manicured. The facilities for the children are great, plenty to occupy them, with a Wendy house, trampoline, swing set and much more. Emma and Chris are amazing and provided us with fresh apple juice from the apple trees on the property. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, we picked blackberries, played golf, swung from the swings, jumped in the trampoline, enjoyed wine on the patio, fed the chickens and much, much more. We happily had no excuse to leave for the five days we were here. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

“Fantastic house and gardens”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We booked the Manor house to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
It is an absolutely brilliant location with fantastic gardens and facilities.
The children particularly loved the tennis court and golf.Emma and Chris were perfect hosts. There was no request that was too much trouble for them.
We all really enjoyed our stay. We all highly recommend the property to all ages and for all occasions.

“Perfect location for a global family get-together”
Reviewed 31 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We cannot speak highly enough of the Manor house’s location, facilities and high standard of accommodation. Our short stay in August was blessed with wonderful weather which enabled us to make full use of the outdoor activities including tennis, golf and table-tennis. None of us had played golf before, and our rounds ensured we explored parts of the gardens which we had never expected to see, frequently returning with more golf balls than we set off with.

The grounds and gardens were exceptional, well maintained and extremely photogenic for the camera buffs amongst us. The delightful patio area with BBQ, table tennis table and comfortable outdoor furniture made for a perfect setting for alfresco dining experience.

We didn’t want for anything during our stay and Emma’s welcome tour set us up perfectly. Apart from the Wi-Fi which was mandatory for our teenagers we really didn’t make full use of the extensive games and entertainment room as the weather was so nice.

Our teenagers, who were initially not especially looking forward to a stay in the country even mentioned that they would like to return, which is quite a vote of confidence in the Manor’s ability to appeal to all generations.

Our recommendations:
• Play Golf (even if you have never played)
• Bring a camera
• Despite Ludlow having a huge range of dining options, you will find the Manor has everything you need to create your own dining experience at a fraction of the cost

“60th family birthday, perfect setting!!!”
Reviewed 6 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We have just returned today from a long weekend at Ludlow manor and we can honestly say the website and reviews do not do this place credit!! Emma Chris and jack were the most welcoming people you could wish to meet and they made us feel at home from the first moments (if only it was home!). The golf course really is worth the visit, I play off eleven and found it a challenge and long enough to need a full pitching wedge at times and I hit the ball a long way! Even the kids loved the course. Everything was just right, what more can we say but we promise you will love the house and grounds, I can't possibly fault it at all.
Weather wasn't that good every day but the number of games and DVDs in the house along with the games room meant we had no bored grumpy kids.
Oh and you will fall in love with the chickens!!
The house was extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need so long as you book the linen package!
