We were drawn inside by the beautiful exterior of the building and decided to have dinner there in the evening. The food is very plentiful & well cooked, the staff are friendly but somehow its not a tourists pub in my opinion. Once inside it feels like a locals' pub, not unfriendly but not welcoming either. Its not a fault of the venue but the loud drunken man at the bar, the customer asleep at his table and the tableful of people who stopped talking & just stared at us as we walked in were offputting. Next time we visit Ludlow we will try somewhere else.
