“quiet visit”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

Lots of layers of history. A flower display for the Royal Jubilee was being arranged - so lots of people around which made it feel that it was more than an ancient building, but still the centre of community life. I didn't get up the tower, so sadly missed the spectacular views

“Great views from tower”
Reviewed 29 May 2012

Ask in the bookshop to go up the tower. There are 200 steps, tightly spiralled but the view is worth it.
