We'd been wanting to go for dinner here for some time and finally got round to it and decided to stay the night as well, so we could enjoy a relaxing little break.
The rooms are great and large, with lovely views over the weir, winter is a great time to go as the leaves are off the trees so you get a great view of the weir.
The bed was large and comfy. There are nice touches such as little cakes on arrival and biscuits on departure, as well as a good selection of tea and coffee making facilities in your room. We also ate in the restauraunt in the evening, which we found excellent and would also recommend(we went on a december sunday evening, it was nice and busy so had a good atmosphere but unlike some places in December it did not feel rushed or too busy).
The breakfast was also a lovely breakfast with a nice range of options, including cooked options other than full english which was lovely. Its not a cheap place to stay, but if you want somewhere special for a special occasion I think it was worth it.More
