What a wonderful find. We stayed for a night with friends and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Sarah is a lovely host and very relaxed and warm. The rooms are lovely and the extra touches like water and milk in a fridge on the landing, proper tea bags and a yummy pack of biscuits make it so much better than a hotel. The views are spectacular and the house itself is lovely - very spacious and traditional. The full cooked breakfast with local produce cooked by Andrew was spectacular - top marks Andrew!

We liked the marmalade so much we stopped off at the Ludlow food centre on our way home to buy some!

Rodney Rocket (Jack Russell) was so adorable! He would wait for you to stroke him and was very well behaved.

All in all a wonderful experience that we hope to repeat very soon!

Sarah and Andrew are wonderful hosts and very welcoming. We stayed for two nights in March, when there was quite a bit of snow. They kindly offered to give us a lift to our restaurants and were fine about our return time, as you get your own key to enter the building.
We had a beautiful room with a view of the castle. Bed was very comfy and beautiful bed linen. En suite bathroom was immaculate with a powerful shower. There was also a hairdryer. There were some lovely treats in the bedroom waiting for us and a full tea tray. Also, they have thoughtfully provided a fridge outside the rooms where you can help yourself to milk and water (and store anything you may have bought locally).
It was my birthday treat and Sarah greeted me with a bottle of wine and birthday card, which was very sweet. It's a beautiful large house but very much feels like a welcoming home. Breakfast was served in a large oak room with a real fire. Breakfast is served at individual tables, which is a must for me as I am not one for conversing first thing in the morning. Cereals, fruit and yogurt and a fully cooked breakfast. All local produce and it was delicious. Sarah and Andrew kindly gave us some of their eggs before we left and we hunted out the butcher they use so we could take a taste of Ludlow home with us!

Sarah and Andrew are superb hosts. Truly unique in that they make you feel completely at home-none of this-this is my home and I'm doing you a massive favour by letting you stay, nonsense! I was going for dinner at Fishmore Hall-Sarah ran out and offered and gave me a lift, and begged me to call her until 1am for a lift back.
Before I even visited, the girlfriend I was supposed to visit with, was taken ill. Sarah gave me the opportunity to cancel without penalty.
The house is lovely, and I particularly loved my large bedroom with a kettle, new pack of teabags, very comfy bed, and a fab seperate bath and shower. It had a new TV and a lovely view to the castle. There were Natur toiletries, and a fridge with water and milk.
The house is easily within walking distance to the town centre and to Fishmore Hall.

Breakfast was between 8-10, but Sarah said..'.if you come down at 11, its no problem as it means you've had a good night's sleep'. It was lovely, (cooked breakfast, cereals, toast, fruit with yoghurt).... produce from Ludlow Food Centre. Nicely laid out in an oak panelled room, with superb views to the Castle again.

We stayed at Whitfield House in March for one night & couldn't fault anything about it! Sarah and Andrew were very welcoming hosts throughout our stay & really helpful in providing suggestions of where to eat in town. The room was huge and beautiful with great views out to the castle. The B&B is only a short, easy walk into town. The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March. What a wonderful place. There wasn't a single improvement that could be made for the service, food, rooms or location - Sarah did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing value considering the size of the room and very recent decor, coupled with the great service received, I will definitely be back again.

We spent two nights at Whitfield House and it really is one of the best B & Bs we have ever stayed in.Great location with parking and a short stroll into the town, with fantastic views of the castle from our bedroom window. The house is spacious but also cosy with the log-burner and wood panelling in the sitting/breakfast room. Beautiful bedrooms and comfy beds,well-equipped bathrooms with thick fluffy towels and lots of little extras such as fresh milk and bottled water in the guests fridge, and daily newspapers in the breakfast room. Sarah was a wonderful hostess, really welcoming and laid back and she cooked marvellous breakfasts as well! I am so pleased to have discovered Whitfield House,we will certainly stay here again when we next visit Ludlow.

Room Tip: We had Lawrence room, my son and partner had Mortimer room, both were lovely and had amazing views
