Delightful hosts in Arnold and Suzanne, they could not have been kinder to me on my first visit. Their dogs made my terrier pooch welcome, the bed was so comfortable after a long drive and this place is an all round gem of a find. I will be returning and recommend the hospitality of Pool Cottage to anyone looking for a quiet rural retreat.

Room Tip: Either double or twin room is delightful - home from home if you like antiques and traditional style...

My girl friend and I stayed here for a nearby wedding. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating to our needs including being a taxi service to and from our wedding venue.
It was very comfortable, clean and peaceful, set in an idyllic country side environment.
Breakfast was local produce of the highest standard. I highly recommend this B n B as you will not be disappointed.

Pool cottage is an example of the best in B and B breaks. The house is set in beautiful rolling countryside and there's lots to explore in the grounds alone. The approach is so special, down a narrow country lane, over a ford and thorough a gate! The welcome from the owners was just right, not too intrusive, just friendly and helpful. Arnold and Suzie made glorious log fires in the guest lounge and dining room and the cooked breakfast was enormous! Our bedroom was traditionally furnished with the highest bed we've seen....so comfortable. If you want a quiet place to stay, ideally located to explore Ludlow and the Shropshire hills this is the place to go.

We stayed at Pool Cottage whilst at a wedding in nearby Delbury Hall. The room was great, everything was clean and comfortable and the hospitality was excellent. Arnold acted as our taxi driver to and from the wedding venue which saved us having to worry about taxis. We added a bit on to our bill the next day but this was still a lot more convenient, thank you! Would definitely recommend.

I've just returned from 2 nights at this beautiful B&B near Ludlow. My mother and I went for a pre Easter get away and explore of Shropshire and we couldn't have chosen a nicer place to stay. We booked both rooms - a large double that has ensuite and a comfortable seating area and the enormous twin room that has 2 very large comfortable twin beds, access to a private toilet and a bathroom that was jawdroppingly gorgeous with a large roll top bath taking central place. The B&B was incredibly clean, there were very generous amounts of towels provided in both rooms and in addition to the rooms there was a comfortable guest lounge with wood burner, books and lots of seating.
The food really requires it's own review as it was that good. I'm almost embarrassed by how much of the delicious cooked breakfast I managed to consume on 2 days running! Served in a cosy dining room that had a constant wood fire on very hot plates the portions were both generous and very well cooked! On the 2nd day my Mother didn't want another full breakfast and requested poached eggs on toast which was no trouble and just as well cooked as all the bacon I was greedily devouring! As we hadn't really given enough thought to our first day plans we had't booked anywhere for dinner and I phoned Arnold on the morning of our arrival to see if he could do an evening meal. He could and we ate a lovely 3 course meal in the dining room which was delicious and ended in the most amazing cake and scones, all home baked that morning.
I can't recommend this B&B highly enough. Clean, restful, warm and with excellent food and charming and friendly hosts overall we had a fantastic break and are looking forward to returning soon for another peaceful stay.

Room Tip: Both rooms beautiful with lovely views and comfortable beds. There is 1 double and 1 twin.

We had a really great stay at Pool cottage last February, although the weather was very cold, we were welcomed in to a wonderful log fire and served tea and scones, a wonderful start to the weekend.

Our room was warm and comfortable, and the location is beautiful, we were given a 'tour' of the lake and garden, meeting the hosts horse and dogs. We loved it all.

The breakfasts, again by the lovely log fire, were huge and extremely well presented, enough for at least four people. All the food is home made or sourced locally, served cheerfully by our hosts.

We would definately come back.
