Friendly, helpful hosts, good bicycles and lovely scenery made this a good experience. The hotels and B&Bs we stayed in were all very nice. Our group of 10 enjoyed not having a guide so we could stop whenever we wanted, but we had some trouble with the written directions not being clear enough. The terrain could be quite challenging, so be prepared for lots of walking unless you're a very strong cyclist. Chris and Kay, our hosts, went out of their way to make the trip a good one for everyone.

The Ironbridge Cycle Tour, covers all of the best parts of the diverse Shropshire landscape – its a very rural farming area – with an amazing history – from Iron age hill forts, Norman Castles and the unique Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage site …and the best way to explore at your own pace– is by bike on the quiet country lanes. We had a great time meeting your group…so we’re very pleased that you enjoyed your trip so much.

A warm welcome and a thorough briefing on the routes, with detailed OS maps to take, and introduction to a good quality bike properly set up for touring. Three lovely days of cycling along quiet country lanes, barely touching the traffic. Overnight stays in very comfortable B&B/hotel with decent food in-house. Yes, I did have to get off and walk up some hills - but its not a race, its a holiday! It was exactly what I wanted.

It was good to meet you when you cycled on our “Below the Clee to Cleobury Cycle Tour”. Overnight stops at Ludlow and Kingsland, meant that you could take advantage of the very flexible route distances on this tour and the great food at the country inns you stayed in….hope to see you again sometime & thanks for taking the time to post this review.

Over 100 miles of cycling in beautiful Shropshire. Daily routes were well planned and for the most part well described. The organization of B & Bs, bicycles, and gear for a group of 10 was great. The rides on this tour will be a challenge to those not used to hills...but it's okay to walk! The scenery more than made up for the hills. Chris and Kay were wonderful hosts! Our group was met at both the beginning and end of our tour with tea and snacks. We also had to call on Wheely Wonderful twice for help (illness and bike repair). Both times Chris came to the rescue and we were able to continue on our ride. It was good to know that help was just a phone call away.

We are regular cyclists, but not brilliant, so we walked up some of the hills but it was worth it for the fabulous views and downhills. The bikes were well maintained , and we felt that in event of a problem, a solution was just a phone call away, but all went well, and our luggage was waiting for us at each hotel/BB we visited. The accomodation was excellent and we felt the owners went out of their way to please us. The routes were well designed and the instruction easy to follow. We will certainly try another trip.

There are more castles & fortifications in this area of England than anywhere else – many are rarely visited, but have wonderful views & stories to tell. Perfect to explore by bike with the promise of a great night’s accommodation & your luggage waiting…thank you for telling everybody else about the great time you had. Hope to see you again soon!

This was our second trip with Wheely Wonderful and it was even better than the first tour. We spent seven days cycling through gorgeous scenery in Shropshire on roads and lanes that were, for the most part, very cyclist friendly. The routes were well researched with maps and descriptive narratives that told us about the area through which we were traveling and providing information about unique and/or picturesque sights along the way as well as places where food and drink could be procured. The accommodations that Chris and Kay arranged for us were all charming establishments with gracious and obliging hosts. One huge benefit of using Wheely Wonderful is their pledge to come to your rescue if you should experience a catastrophe of some sort while out on the road. After one of our bikes suffered a serious mechanical malfunction, Chris arrived within 45-minutes of our call for help with tools and repair parts to get us up and running again. The bottom line is that we would not hesitate to use Wheely Wonderful's services for another cycling holiday.

Thank you for the great review. Shropshire is a wonderful place to cycle – great routes, fab views, lots of history, great food and very friendly, high quality accommodations. We know our customers appreciate that fact that we are at the end of a phone to sort out any bike problems….but fortunately the call out rate is very low! Our bikes are top quality Trek hybrids – a real pleasure to ride.
