We climbed from Bitterley, using muddy footpaths and a good map, since the signage on the paths is only average. We followed the old narrow gauge incline up to the old quarry workings then headed for the trig point that marks the top of the hill. Unfortunately we were driven off by snow but the view is well worth going up there for.....it's fantastic on a good day.

Visited here in November to carry out a ham radio operation.
You can drive to within a mile of the top and park at the old quarry - the abandoned quarry buildings have an eerie post - apocalyptic atmosphere to them, especially when the cloud is in as it was when I visited.
The summit ridge of the hill has a cluster of NATS radar and radio installations installed, and there are a number of direct routes to the summit with the easy option of walking up the NATS service road.
VHF take off from here is amazing - I had 8 contacts in 25 minutes operating, max DX 80 miles !
Well worth a visit.

Drove over Clee Hills today on our return journey through Ludlow after a weekend in mid Wales. As always a superb view. We pass this way regularly especially during the summer months. On hot days we buy an icecream from the local shop - very friendly staff in here. We then eat it sitting on the benches in the carpark. Too wet to this today unfortunately

I have never visited this area before and can honestly say I will be back to see it again shortly. You can see for miles from here....
