Sadly only two sleeps left before we will have to leave No.24 which has been an absolute delight to stay in over the Festive Season. There is everything you could possibly need and more and every care has been taken to ensure that is the case. The welcome basket was a nice touch too. No. 24 is a home from home; providing an escape from the hustle ‘n’ bustle; however, close enough if you want to join in. Parking was not really an issue. With only a 5 muniute walk down Camp Lane, just down from No.24, we found all day on street parking near the Mill on the Green on The Linney for £1.10. Ludlow is a stunning place to explore and the surrounding area and walking fantastic. Have definitely been romanced by our visit.
This was a very cosy and welcoming cottage. The owner, Raymond Perry, was very helpful and provided all the right sort of information in advance and on arrival we were delighted with all the little touches he went to the trouble to provide: a goody basket, including wine and chocolate; freshly laundered towelling robes and Marc Jacob scent bottle in the bedroom (lovely fresh scent!); the usual maps/leaflets/books/CDs/radios that anyone could want; and delightful art on the walls of each floor. All in all, it felt like a little bit of luxury in the centre of Ludlow. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We have just returned from a wonderful week spent in this charming character cottage. The cottage is spotlessly clean and is ideally located at the bottom on a quiet street. Raymond has obviously put a lot of thought into what people like from a self catering establishment and put it into practice. From the welcome basket to the added quality touches this cottage shines out. It offers a great deal especially for the price. In fact we enjoyed it so much we are intending on booking it again for next year.
Really nice house on 3 floors Ludlow is a lovely place nice places to eat out, parking is a bit of an issue but didn't spoil the holiday at all .
The cottage is first rate. Bags of character and spotlessly clean. Booking experience was as smooth as a booking process can be and Raymond has been so helpful with other bits of advice. A gentle 2 minute stroll up the hill to the castle and a quite astonishing range of high quality restaurants. Raymond's advice about parking was helpful. We tended to arrive back around 18:00 once the restrictions outside the house had ended and then stick two hours on for the morning meaning we could leave at a lesiurely 10am. One day we just parked down by the river which was only a five minute walk. This cottage comes highly recommended.
Our second visit and once again extremely pleased with the cottage. It's particularly well positioned at the quiet end of Mill Street but only minutes from the town centre. You barely know your in town.
We park in the riverside car park which is a pleasant 5+ minutes walk away and costs £1 for the day, then bring the car back up to Mill Street at around 6.00pm for the evening, paying £1 in advance to cover parking from 8.00-9.00am the next morning, thus allowing an unrushed breakfast.
Great location for pubs and restaurants in town but very easy to walk out over the bridge at the bottom of Dinham and escape into lovely countryside.
Very comfortable and well equipped, what more could you want!
We really enjoyed our stay in the this lovely house. Everything you can think of has been considered and it's equipped with good quality items. This is not always the case with rental properties! We were very pleased to receive a ‘welcome basket’ full of all the essentials – wine, biscuits, chocolate and cereal etc. The comprehensive instructions were straightforward. Although the parking restriction (8-6pm, 7 days a week) is definitely an issue, we nearly always were able to park right outside the door and, compared to some councils, reasonably charged. Although the house was fairly central we couldn’t get over how quiet it was even though a couple of minutes walk up the steep street was the castle. Ludlow is a great base to see the gorgeous Shropshire countryside with it historic houses, ruins, castles and wonderful walks.
