“One night break”

Gorgeous hotel in a quiet location. Couldn't fault it. Stayed just the one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Found a lovely Thai restaurant in the village. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Ideal location just outside Ludlow, road not very busy but some early road noise if you are not used to it. Very clean and smart decoration. Room excellent, spacious and immaculately clean, large very comfortable bed. Large well equipped bathroom with separate bath and shower. Separate vegetarian menu, two choices, main menu four choices, same menu on two evenings, if we had stayed for three nights it would have been a problem if it hadn't changed. Saying that the food was very good. Not the cheapest but almost worth it.

Room Tip: Avoid road facing rooms if you are not used to road noise

Me and my husband stayed for two nights at Fishmore Hall last week. It was everything we wanted and more. The grounds/views are lovely we sat out every morning and early evening, the room was perfect, Beautiful big bath, wet room, massive soft bed, beautiful views from room. My husband ordered chocolate covered strawberries and petals on our bed for our arrival which was a lovely extra. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were excellent, I am pregnant and was being fussy with food and they were very accommodating. Will defiantly come again ... Loved it!! We didn't have dinner because there are so many lovely restaurants in Ludlows we wanted to try !

Just outside the town but fantastic setting. Lovely garden to sit in and take in the views. All the staff were very friendly and keen to make our stay a good one. Breakfast was very tasty. Dinner was lovely but a little over priced. Would definitely return

We had a very nice afternoon and evening at Fishmore Hall to celebrate our tenth anniversary. Booked into an Executive room with Champagne and chocolate coated strawberries followed by A la carte meal in the conservatory.
Before dinner a drink in the lounge (excellent Ludlow Best for me) and with the meal a lovely Beaujolias Villages. The three course meal was excellent (braised pig cheek/scallops, monkfish main for both of us, followed by strawberry souffle/cheeses for dessert)
and the service friendly and attentive.
A great night's sleep followed by excellent full English in our room. Yes it was pricey for one night but for our anniversary we are happy that we chose Fishmore Hall and would consider going back in the future.

Visited this hotel as a guest of a wedding party.
A great venue, friendly staff great food and a wonderful room with a huge bed ( so big I had to take a phone with me in case I needed to speak to my partner in the night! :-)).
Breakfast had a wide variety of dishes on the menu and was freshly cooked not self service with food cooked hours before and kept warm on a heated counter..
Nice, but small gardens with a pleasant view.
Would go back again for a weekend away.

Room Tip: All rooms I saw were well equipped and seemed equally as good as each other

We secured a deal through Living Social for a two-night stay B&B and a £40 voucher if we dined in the restaurant. Checking the full prices it is not cheap but I think would still be reasonable value, expecially if you like fine dining

The accommodation is beautifully appointed, with excellent touches in the room tea facilities were of high quality (with selection of teas and fresh coffee), fresh milk and home made biscuits delivered on request to your room.

The restaurant was very good - offering bar meals (but very up-market) or full dining in the restaurant with an excellent tatser menu (though a tad pricey - but you pay for quality). The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced.

We only had one gripe that the service at breakfast was very slow. My other gripe is I can't work out if you can give 4.5 markings on Trip Advisor as that is the overall mark I would have given rather than a 4 but can't go to a 5 for the tardy breakfast.

I know things were cooked to order and delicious when they arrived but it was too long if you were wanting to get off and start your day. Perhaps a pre-order system for the restaurant breakfast as well as the option of room service?

Overall though, a very good experience, great location with really friendly and welcoming staff. It would be nice if the Hall could provide some local history on the site (once an approved school for naughty boys after the original owners gave up the Hall). I think they did once have an album of photos/narrative but it disappeared (i.e "walked" I suspect).

Ludlow is a fantastic place to visit with the Castle, St Laurence's Church, the shops, restaurants, pubs & best the Ludlow micro brewery! The Hall is an excellent hotel to explore Ludlow - we chose to walk in and took us just 20 minutes. Also some good jogging routes if you are a runner like me. A very good base to take in Ironbridge and all the history there. Took us about 50 minutes to drive to Ironbridge but a lovely journey through picturesque scenery and villages. Can also explore Bridgenorth, Shrewsbury, climb the Wrekin etc - all very worthwhile.

Wonderful part of the world. Thanks to the Hall and the staff for a very good break.
