Visiting my friends in the Shropshire area we decided to go for an Indian meal, My friend suggested this place as they serve the naga chillies, I have quite an addiction to hot food.
The restaurant is situated on the side of a pub, very spacious inside and clean, We ordered the weekend special of 1 starter, 1 main course and rice / nan or other side dish, poppadums' to start, the cost per head was £ 10.95 each which I thought was good value, The starters came out which were onion bhajis and quite nice, then the main course came, I had the vegetable Khyber which I was told was a hot as a vindaloo, also ordered a jaflong sauce, both the curries were very nice and spiced well, the nan breads were alos good, however my friend had the chicken tikka masala, the curry was very sweet and bright red, My friend commented that the chicken did not taste fresh, at the end of the meal we were then presented with the bill, The cost was £ 56.00, As my meal was quite big I asked to take it home and they charged 50p per container, something I have never had to pay before, and as I asked for extra mint sauce when we had eaten all of it with the starter they charged £ 2.00,
Overall I am glad I went and I had very good food but the hidden extras on the bill left a distaste in my mouth, I just feel it let its self down.
