Description: OUR CAFÉ The name Sparrow, while no longer the family surname, remains an important link to the past generations who worked hard to create the Albrighton Estate. The café is therefore named in their memory. Meals, snacks and cakes are freshly prepared to order in our kitchen using ingredients from the shop and other local sources. Morning, lunch and afternoon menus give a variety of choice. There is also a children’s menu, again made in our kitchen using local ingredients. Sparrow’s Cafe introduces a new menu at different times of the year to utilise seasonal produce but the firm favourites such as Battlefield Beef and Shropshire Ale Pie, are always available! These changes in menu are also reflected in the range of ready meals prepared for sale in the shop. Most of our seating area is easily accessible by wheelchair but we suggest you call us to book a table should you require one on the ground floor. Otherwise there is no need to book unless your party is of more than six people.

Visited this cafe on a midday sunday. The weather was nice enough for us to sit outside. Me and my partner both hot chocolate and scones with jam and cream. Both were really nice.

Watch out for the farm cat that likes to sit on the tables and have a bit of a lunch whilst you pamper it.

Took an elderly relative out for lunch. Have been to Sparrows several times before and have never been disappointed. Place was very busy but we were found seats straightaway. Service was polite and efficient. I had a chicken salad and my companion ham and chips. Sweets were also very acceptable! All dishes were nicely presented and delicious. It's nice to return somewhere and find standards haven't dropped.

We visited Sparrows on 22 June for light lunch at about 2pm. The restaurant was emptying after the peak of lunchtime. We sat at a table which was not cleared and cleaned from the previous customers . After about 10 minutes we had to go to the desk and request the table be cleared. We then ordered basic light sandwiches plus tea. The latter arrived in five minutes the latter after twenty by which time the tea was finished. The milk jug was dirty. A top up of tea was requested, this turned out to be hot water added to the used tea bag. The sandwiches were fine.
