Visited this hotel in February 2012, good location, but a little bit tricky to find.
Liked the valet parking, rooms were good.
The meal we had in the hotel was average, one of our party had to ask for the veg for his meal.
All in all we had a good weekend break for £60 per night for two with breakfast which is really good value. Will go again to this hotel when the weather is a bit warmer.

I was staying at the Prince Rupert on business. It was nicely placed in the centre of Shrewsbury. Car parking is fine, because they have free valet parking. Don't forget to let reception know what time you need your car. If you get stuck, the car park is only 10 minutes walk away, so you can alway get it yourself if need be.

The room was ok, and the breakfast better than the standard fare at more expensive mass chains. The only thing that let the place down was that the decor was a bit tired.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, and I would stay there again if I was back in the area.

Nice hotel with lots of character in great central location. We stayed in the Prince Rupert suite with it's sloping floors, roll top bath and four poster bed. The only thing missing was a shower hose to wash your, very annoying trying to use a glass to wet your hair. Breakfast was delicious.

took a lastminute.com booking for the Prince Rupert Hotel and thought it was great value. We arrived late Saturday and were upgraded to one of the suites. Staff were friendly and helpful, valet service is great as never know where to park in Shrewsbury. Breakfast was included in price of room and was good quality.

Our family got together at the Prince Rupert for a long weekend in January 2012. During our stay we ate in both Chambers and the Royalist Restaurant and had lovely food in both. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely warm atmosphere and would recommend staying at this Hotel. Camelias tea room close by also offers fantastic lunches

Breakfast was good all in all just what we wanted for 1 night, will stay again.
