A group of 14 with 2 dogs hired cabins 1,2 & 3 for the weekend and we couldn't have been in more perfect surroundings.
The cabins themselves are spacious with one double room and the other room sleeps 3 with bunk beds and a single. The bedrooms are perfectly adequate and the beds comfy with high standards of cleanliness. The bathroom had a powerful and hot shower which was awesomely refreshing.
The communal areas are by the far the biggest selling point inside. Each cabin had 2 sofas with a TV (Which was unplugged in favour of charging phones) and a table to seat 6. The spaces are so large that we had a little rearrange. We put all the tables in one cabin so we could all sit and eat together and moved all of the sofas into another so we could all sit and chill together in the evenings. There was plenty of room for us to do this so it made it extra special
The views, my lord the views are breath taking, the cabins are surrounded by paddocks with horses and ponys, and on a clear day you can seen for miles. The grounds of the cabins are well cared for with wood shingle paths and freshly mown lawns. We hired the BBQ (£15) at ate alfresco and it was wonderful to be away from the sound of cars and general industry.
The cabins are warm and homely and cleaned to an excellent standard. I couldn't recommend this place enough, we will be returning again next year.
We booked the cabins for 2 night for 15 adults. They were perfect and easily accommodated us all. The setting is extremely picturesque as the 3 cabins are tucked away looking out onto fields. There were horses right in front of the cabins which we all loved.
The amenities were perfect for self catering and we were able to cook for 15 people, although we did spread it over the three ovens, which wasn't a huge hassle.
We spent some time in Shrewsbury which is only a 20/30 minute drive, very convenient. We pre booked taxis into (and back from) Shrewsbury for one of the evenings, they were a local company and were brilliant. I would recommend pre booking though, especially if there are a few of you.
We all had a great time and will be returning.
Thank you for our stay Jackie.
What a great place for a get-together with friends. Jacky was so easy to deal with and gave us all the help we needed to find the location and amenities nearby. The cabins were warm, clean and cosy for our winter get-together with beautiful views of the Shropshire countryside. The cabins were well equipped and perfect for families and our large group of people. We were left wanting longer but sadly all good things come to an end.....but we hope to be back!
We were eight friends and two dogs, and stayed for a weekend in two cabins. The views were amazing with the cabins very well laid out. Lots of light, warm, good showers and sufficiently spacious dining area for all of us. We hope to be back!
This place is a hidden gem. We had a comfortable, relaxing stay.Beautiful views from the cabin. The owner was very friendly and made both U.S. and our dog feel welcome! We can't wait to book our next stay here.
We were a large group of actors working nearby in Shrewsbury and wanted somewhere lovely to stay for out last week on tour. We were not disappointed! The cabins were really spacious and clean, the views and whether was incredible and Jackie did everything she could to make our stay as easy as possible. Highlights were waking up to horses neighing right outside the door and all sitting round the pitfire at night looking at the stars. Perfect to bring a dog or two as well. They will be in heaven! Only small downside was there were quite a lot of flies due to the time of year and horses being close by. But Jackie provided us with sprays etc and that did the job. Thoroughly recommended!
