“Delightful part of Shrewsbury”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

Great open parkland space steeped in history. Excellently maintained with walkways/cycle paths alongside the River Severn, and Shrewsbury School looming above in its elevated position on the opposite bank.

“Beautiful recluse!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Beautiful little garden by the River Severn, lovely to walk around in.
I wish it was a bit bigger, as it gets quite crowded, especially when the weather is nice. Would be nice to have more secluded benches and water features.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

When visiting shrewsbury, especially in the spring and summer, we always have a walk around the quarry park. Lots of space to play with the kids and the dingle is beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing. Worth a visit.

“one of the most beautiful parks anywhere”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

In the heart of Shrewsbury town centre, in the loop of the River Severn, is this gem of a park. Gently sloping from the glorious St Chads Cathedral down towards the river, with avenues of trees, loads of well kept grass areas, and the most beautiful gardens in the centre. In the summer, one of the best places to just sit and relax with friends or family, and take in the fantastic scenery. It has a special 'feel' to it, very difficult to explain. It's so peaceful, everyone always looks happy, even the ducks seem happy! There are places to get drinks, ice cream, sandwiches etc; a great little play area for little ones, a swimming baths right next door too. Boat trips up and down the river give you a different perspective, and you get to see the Quarry park from end to end. Take the family, pack a pic-nic, and enjoy a thoroughly un-spoiled park the like of which you will struggle to better anywhere in the country.
