Review of The Quarry

If you haven't explored Shrewsbury Quarry then you're missing a treat, it's so well kept, not a hint of litter, well done Shrewsbury. On a sunny day people sunbath and picnic and generally spend quality time with their loved ones. If you venture into the Dingle you are greeted by a riot of colourful blooms, shrubs and specimen trees all beautifully maintained (Percy Thrower would be proud). There are plenty of park benches to take a few moments to soak up the atmosphere, reflect and generally watch life. Such a lovely civilised place to be :-)

The park is incredibly well kept, with tree lined paths and the most gorgeous ornamental landscaped gardens. A must if visiting Shrewsbury!

Go see the dingles behind the big green hedge and go across the bridge for a drink at The Boathouse & watch the world go by

Great open parkland space steeped in history. Excellently maintained with walkways/cycle paths alongside the River Severn, and Shrewsbury School looming above in its elevated position on the opposite bank.

Beautiful little garden by the River Severn, lovely to walk around in.
I wish it was a bit bigger, as it gets quite crowded, especially when the weather is nice. Would be nice to have more secluded benches and water features.
