“Great hotel, good location, fantastic staff”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

Stayed here on 25th April whilst in Shrewsbury for a friends wedding.

Location is good, parking details were emailed to me the day before giving us details of all nearest car parks. Hotel is brand spanking new, spotlessly clean and the decor is lovely. Very late check in but the staff could not have been more helpful.

Rooms are spacious, beds are robust and comfy. Bathroom squeaky clean.

Great night's sleep, 12pm checkout which is worth its weight in gold in my opinion - breakfast next morning was excellent, even though we had actually missed the 10.30am week day time slot. Staff could not be more helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. What more could you ask? Excellent value for money, will recommend to all!

Four of us stayed at the new Premier Inn on Saturday 20th April 2013. Firstly I would like to say the whole hotel staff were every welcoming and efficient.
1) we had breakfast when we arrived and had the meal deal 3 course including breakfast next morning. This was excellent value for money, the choice was great covering everyone's needs and the portions were good including a glass of wine, beer.
2) The food was cooked just to order and presentation good.
3) The restaurant and bar staff dealt with a young boy vomiting at the table with discretion to all other eaters.
4) I was also unwell and the bar staff kindly got me a sandwich later when I was able to eat.
5) Breakfast was a must so much choice and all lovely and hot.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again as I go to Shrewsbury regularly.
6) Rooms lovely and fresh and modern. We stayed in 420

Room Tip: Modern clean ,comfy beds and good sized bathroom. No noise from main road

A typical Premier Inn. Friendly staff, very well presented and clean room. Have found Premier Inn to be consistent in their provision - you know what to expect when you book a room. Well done for consistent high standard of room and cleanliness. Excellent breakfast.

For a public-transport user and theatre-goer like myself the location just couldn't be bettered; five minutes walk from the railway station and about seven minutes from the excellent Theatre Severn. From the restaurant windows you look across the road to the river and the playing fields beyond. Despite the proximity of the main road and the bus station, everything is peaceful within the hotel due to Premier's usual impressive soundproofing. Apart from that, it's just what you expect if you use Premier - helpful staff, easy check-in, good buffet breakfast, high standards of cleanliness. Shrewsbury has been crying out for a reliable, reasonably priced hotel for years; well, this is it!

I wouldn't normally review Premier Inn as they are very much the same.(have stayed in a few)
The Shrewsbury Town Centre Premier Inn deserves a review because all the staff worked extra hard to make your stay a good one. They are professional and friendly. Our waitress at Dinner(Kate I Think) was polite and efficient and was helping a trainee who was as enthusiastic. It hasn't been open long so our room was like new, spacious,a comfy bed and dark curtains. Our room looked over the bus station, we didn't hear any due to the triple glazing. I would have given a higher rating but for the bar closing earlier than we expected. 11 pm on Friday and midnight on Saturday. A few people were surprised at this so a slightly later bar would have been better for our group. Food was reasonably priced for dinner and generous portions,(only managed 2 courses)

Room Tip: Our room was 127 at the end of the corridor so only one room on one side. therefore less chance of n...

I frequently stay in Premier Inns for work related business. Today I had the absolute pleasure of stayng in SmithField Road Shrewsbury, this has only been opened for 5 weeks however the service I received from Dale Kerr, acting supervisor, the barman Ben Weader was second to none. My meal was without any doubt the best meal I have eaten in a Premier Inn anywhere in the country, I beleive I had a chief by the name of Alan Jones to thank for this...THANK YOU!
This is the first ever Trip Advisor write up I have ever written but feel passionately that it is worth my time, after all, credit where it is due.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 218, fabulous view of the river

Great hotel which is only a couple of months old. Every effort apears to ahve been made to give you a good nights sleep: tripple glazing, overlap curtains and a comfortable bed. Bathroom is great with a propper size bath! Centrally located. Breakfast is expensive but there is a pub just down the road. Only minor gripes re a fire alarm, 1 of the two lifts not working.
