When you are going to your sons graduation (in Aberystwyth) you want somewhere nice to stay the night before - so you can get ready in your 'glad rags' and be there in plenty of time. Nothing in Aber was available to fit the bill, so we chose this Premier Inn and one of their 'special' deals. We had an excellent stay. A combined meal and full breakfast deal proved to be really good value. We were able to meet some 'facebook' friends for the first time - and had a really relaxing time with them. There seems to be this guy Steve at the hotel who is capable of organising and doing everything - he really made us feel 'at home'.
Only one problem - finding the route through the Shrewsbury one-way system to get to the car park at the back of the hotel - almost a nightmare, but we made it on the third attempt!

Room Tip: If you are booking two rooms, ask for ones with interconnecting doors when you are booking - they ha...

Brilliant location, clean rooms, friendly staff and good deals. Had a great two nights and can't fault it. The staff made you feel welcome and were happy to help. The rooms were quiet and well maintained - we would definitely stay there again.

If your planning a trip to Shrewsbury i can highly recommend this hotel. Right opposite the river where with a short walk you can have a boat trip on the Sabrina. Turn right and you get to a shopping centre.Turn left and walk a few hundred yards to the start of the town centre.Restaurant is in the hotel so no traipsing across a car park to a beefeater as you do at some other Premier inns. The staff are fantastic! Especially Stephen and Karen who were particullarly helpful and welcoming. They made our stay so pleasant. Watch the parking. Bit confusing but the downstairs floor of the multi storey car park behind is just for the hotel with easy access into it

We booked at the last minute with only two rooms left, we chose a family room, which I presume is a normal room with 2 small beds squeezed in. The room was modern, clean, spacious over all very nice. The Inn is new good security with the pass card needed to use the lift and get to the rooms. I must complain about the *self check in* though, being old fashioned I would rather speak to a human than use a machine. If the self service is a way to cut down staff, it did not seem to be working when we arrived, there were 2 check in machines and 4 members of staff to help people check in. I must thank a nice lady called *Sue* who helped us with change for the carpark, helped us to check in and gave us useful information about Shrewsbury ( I am sure the check in machine would not be able to do that).
Because of the one way system in Shrewsbury the carpark was a bit hard to find, also a bit of a squeeze once you got in (£8 for the day).
The location of the Inn is ideal for getting around, overall a great stay.

Room Tip: Just be careful when opening you car door the parking spaces are very tight against supporting pilla...

Lovely clean modern hotel , very pleasant staff , good location Nice breakfast but let down by the car parking facilities which are inadequate with limited bays which are small

Windows do not open in hotel but the aircon in the rooms did a good job of cooling even n the hottest day of the year so far

Excellent Premier Inn. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom very central location good food and very pleasant staff.
Only drawback parking behind the hotel is very limited and £8 for 24 hours . Also a nightmare to find if coming from the A5. However if you don't mind a little walk over the river, literally 2 minutes, there is a huge pay and display car park.
Good air con not something we often need in the UK!

Room Tip: Either on the road side with a view of the park or a with a view of the multi-storey carpark behind

Great location for Shrewsbury, which is a lovely place to visit. Rooms are clean and pleasant, all you come to expect from Premier Inn. You do need to know that they don't have free car parking, it is £8.00 for 24 hours, so could get a bit expensive if you are there for a few days. Plus we had to get coins, the card payment machine would not work. The breakfast was brilliant, the only fault was that it was not very hot, think they need lids for the serving dishes. Otherwise a pretty good stay. Most of the staff were brilliant, jus one young lady on reception was not quite as helpful, but Sue who was training with her was really helpful and pleasant. She should go a long way if they are sensible!

Room Tip: Not sure as we only saw one
