This pub has a lot going for it. It has a bowling green and two bars and serves a variety of real ales to keep your thirst quenched.

Found this pub on here as dog friendly, made a phone call and was very helpful. fitted us in on a bank holiday and made us feel very welcome,
Service was very good and the food was fair and not expensive. Nicely presented, quick and hot.

Quaint little pub that cares about selling local and other small brewery beers. Lots of beers to try. Worth a visit.

A lovely meal provided by Vicki and Ian and the entire team at The Prince of Wales. Brilliant! A group of about 20 SHINE members gather once every few months at this pub, simply because it is such a good pub, such wonderful hosts and staff and generally a lovely place to be!

A very friendly pub (including children and dogs). There's always a warm welcome at the POW. It may not look large from the front but when you go in that's where everything changes. There is a real community atmosphere where everyone is soon included, should they so wish. There are separate lounge and bar areas with the bar being a favourite for the football, darts and domino fans. Through the back doors there's a beautiful decked area, with plenty of seating, on which to enjoy the view of the perfect bowling green. All of this is overlooked by the imposing Prospect House. Of course all that is on top of the vast array of prize-winning real ales, great wines and the regular trays of sandwiches that seem to be passed around on a regular basis. Very highly recommended.
