Definitely deserves the 1 spot for restaurants in Shrewsbury! Food was amazing, my partner and I both had the crostini and Steak and it was outstanding - we are from Essex and often eat in Steak restaurants like Hawsmoor in London and the steak we had at Dolce Vita was better. Lovely owner and atmosphere too, which adds to how brilliant the food is. You would be crazy if you didn't pay this restaurant a visit!

A traditional Italian restaurant. Well presented with quality table lay out and accessories. Food was exceptional I made the mistake of ordering carbohydrate overload on courses - crostini, pasta and garlic bread could not eat a dessert which was most upsetting looking at what was being served. My mistake totally one I will not repeat, Service was excellent, friendly and efficient nothing to much trouble, See you again

We have been regular diners in the past but due to work and family commitments not for a few years
Having heard of there most recent UK awards we decided it was a perfect opportunity to return and we are so pleased we did
As always a very warm welcome from all the family followed by a meal to die for
Everything was perfect from the Beetroot and goat curd and Carpaccio starter to the Fillet beef and Duck mains and the children’s homemade tagliatelle finished with homemade ice creams and Tiramisu washed down with an excellent Tuscan red
OUTSTANDING
Further awards will follow for this intimate unique Italy restaurant

I am ashamed to say that we hadn`t been to this restaurant before despite having lived in the town for 7 years; what a mistake on our part as the food here was, by far, the best we have had in the town and possibly the best Italian food we have had outside Italy.
The restaurant is small and a bit off the beaten track and does not look very inviting from the outside but inside there is great ambience with cheerful, helpful staff.
We all had a first course, pasta and a dessert and need to come back to sample the mains. My pasta dish with squash and liquorice was divine a was the rabbit pasta my husband ordered. The desserts were very good but a little small for the price.
The house wine is good and a reasonable price.
We will certainly be back and are sorry it took us so long as this restaurant bears no comparison to any of the so-called Italian chains in the town.

We visited twice in a week, once for stunning pasta (including excellent chestnut garganelli with rabbit), than again for the full tasting menu. Wow. Every course was really fresh, technically skilled, deeply seasonal, and properly satisfying to eat. A foie gras ice cream and aerated sweetcorn/polenta dish early on stands out, as did a chestnut, pumpkin and chocolate dessert. It is rare it find such skills in such a small kitchen and friendly dining room. And impressive to find a kitchen delivering well both conventional a la carte and a full tasting menu with minimal overlap between the two. The most satisfying fine dining style meal we've had in the UK for years, and good value for the quality. Not quite up with L'Argine a Venco, Hisa Denk and TOMR as our very best meals of the year, but a lot lot closer to home.
