Description: Located next door to the Theatre Royal, Strada is set in the historic Beau Nash house in Bath. Perfect for pre-theatre meals and post-shopping snacks, this popular Italian restaurant chain is famous for its authentic handmade pizzas - which are cooked in a traditional forno a legna wood-fired oven – and its extensive menu of rustic, regional pastas and puddings are made using only the finest fresh ingredients such as Parma ham, extra virgin olive oil and Buffalo mozzarella imported from Italy. Perfect for business lunches and cosy evening meals, you can’t go wrong with Strada’s successful formula of simple, tasty food combined with sleek design, friendly service and a buzzy, down-to-earth atmosphere. The proof, as they say, is in the pizza.

Food was good - but nothing that differentiated it from many similar Italian chain restaurants. Service was warm and friendly. The strange thing was the decor. This was once a grand Georgian house and still retains some period features but they clash badly with some modern decor that is really out of step with the building and the type of restaurant it is.

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times in recent years. Very convenient if going to the Theatre. I have tried varying meals, and never been disappointed. Fine Dining it is not, but does not porport to be. We arrive friday early evening around 5.30 before it gets too busy. We were served by Guiseppe, friendly but not intrusive. Service was efficient and smooth. Food well-presented and pleasant.

We hadn't booked and the restaurant, which is small, was pretty full. However, the waiter, Carmine, found us a table and we had an extremely enjoyable meal. We are not talking fine dining here, but it was just what we wanted: 2 course set meal with drinks cost £40. Carmine is a real asset to the restaurant, efficient and humorous. There was a really pleasant atmosphere.

A very quick and efficient Italian, just next to the Theatre Royal , serving their customers before the evening performance. Good food and friendly staff.

La Strada – atmosphere was very noisy. The waiter was very good at fitting us in on a very crowded (& wet) evening & was very attentative. However, the food was nothing to write home about. My wife’s pizza was poor and very difficult to eat, whilst my ravioli was adequate. All in all the experience did not make me want to eat at one of their other many restaurants.
