Description: Located next door to the Theatre Royal, Strada is set in the historic Beau Nash house in Bath. Perfect for pre-theatre meals and post-shopping snacks, this popular Italian restaurant chain is famous for its authentic handmade pizzas - which are cooked in a traditional forno a legna wood-fired oven – and its extensive menu of rustic, regional pastas and puddings are made using only the finest fresh ingredients such as Parma ham, extra virgin olive oil and Buffalo mozzarella imported from Italy. Perfect for business lunches and cosy evening meals, you can’t go wrong with Strada’s successful formula of simple, tasty food combined with sleek design, friendly service and a buzzy, down-to-earth atmosphere. The proof, as they say, is in the pizza.

“A regular haunt....”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

This is a regular trip for us, either post-shopping or pre-theatre. They are REALLY good on pre-theatre dining, and can get three courses with wine down you (if that's your pleasure) in double-quick time!

The food is exceptionally good for a chain restaurant. The Vesuvio pizza is EXTREMELY hot! Steaks are superb and come properly rare. The spicy sausage pasta is a great favourite with my husband. Salads are crisp and fresh.

Service is charming, slightly quirky, and very efficient.

IT's good value for money, too: and even better as there are usually voucher codes to be had somewhere.

“Good Pre-theatre meal venue”
Reviewed 15 June 2014 via mobile

Strada is right next door to the Theatre Royal in Bath and in the early evening when we visited was busy but we were found a table in its small outside area. It's better to choose one near the pavement rather than further down what is actually an ally between the two buildings, however it's a great spot for people watching. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food basically reassuring and well prepared. Prices are average for the centre of Bath. It's worth noting that the small car park opposite had spaces even at 7.00 pm on a Saturday night.

“good food”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

Visited on a lovely warm evening, food was good, we ordered from the specials. Plenty of choice, service good and food arrived in good time. The only critical point would be toilets, in the fact that there were not many.

“Great early supper”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Nice restaurant, nice staff, great food. Lucky me, got an offer for a free bottle of prosecco, too good not to use. Booked a table for 18.30, arrived a bit early, no problem, restaurant nicely busy, lacking a bit in atmosphere i thought, background music perhaps a bit too far in the background. I ordered a spinach salad to start followed by a gnocchi dish with butternut squash in a sauce. These were both really good, nice quantity and I have to say, the best dish of gnocchi that I have ever had, it was really lovely. My wife ordered, mozzarella and salsa verdi to start followed by pork with mash in a sauce. Again, both quite lovely.

“Friendly restaurant”

We were looking for a restaurant after having visited Jane Austen's house and found Strada. Am not normally keen on pizza but here it was very nice. Quick efficient service.
