we stayed here for 2 nights on our first visit to bath and loved it so much we tried to book the second time we were visiting but it was fully booked out which is a testament to how nice it is!!!

Lovely quaint and very in keeping with the type of building rooms, very very friendly owners and probably one of the best, freshly cooked breakfasts I have ever tasted - it would be worth going back for that alone!

Great location - only downside is no parking although there is a pay and display around the corner which seemed fairly safe.

I would definitely go here again.

Our two nights, on 28 and 29 December, at 3 Abbey Green were a joint Christmas present to ourselves, along with an afternoon's indulgent wallowing three minutes walk away at the Thermae Spa. I can't immediately bring to mind a better present. 3 Abbey Green provides everything that a "brand" hotel can never hope to - lots of unpretentious down to earth hospitality from the family who run it, no two rooms the same, (Nobel Prize for Nosiness on our part), and I'll bet they're all equally comfortable. And the whole show run with the kind of laid back personable approach which sets a free range hotel apart from battery chains. Spotlessly clean bathroom, vast comfy bed in a lovely big room with window seats overlooking the comings and goings in Abbey Green. And in the morning an affably served up freshly cooked breakfast got the day off to a grand start. Thank you Sue, Niki and Derek, we really enjoyed our stay.

Liz and Clive.

Bath is a paradise in the UK. Bath is relaxing, historical and full of culture. It also has an amazing number of great shops and restaurants. A great place to get away from it all.

For the last 2000 years (or more!) Bath has been a warm and relaxing location. And this character has spread out into the locals as unrestricted hospitality. At the Heart of this warm and relaxing city is a wonderful B&B - Three Abbey Green. And its hosts, Derek and Sue will do anything make your stay enjoyable. The accomodations are varied and comfortable. The food is enjoyable, and gives you the energy to tackle the many hot spots of Bath.

I guess it makes sense to say that Three Abbey Green is not only in the geographical centre of town, but it is also the heart of one of the most charming cities in the western world.

What a fantastic place !
We stayed for the weekend just before christmas in the Lord Nelson room. The room is fantastic with a huge fourposter and your own lounge area with open gas fire. What could have been more perfect, siting by the fire, drinking champagne, opening christmas presents with the sound of carol singers from the streets below, perfect !
Food brilliant and a superb location to explore Bath. To top it off the owners, Sue and Derek, are fantastic and offer some great tips for sightseeing and eating out.
Thanks guys, the best weekend in a long time.

We spent a week in Lord Nelson room, and it was one of our best holidays ever. The spacious and charming room invites you to sit and read by the fire (there's a real fireplace in addition to central heating). The owners, Sue, Derek and Nici, have paid an unusual amount of attention to all the details. Not only is everything scrupulously clean, but also very comfortable: facilities for making tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a stereo, and a good selection of books - Three Abbey Green is ideal to relax and wind down. The opulent breakfast is freshly cooked, and you can taste that the ingredients are organic. Everybody has been most helpful with suggestions of what to see and where to go, and the central location right by the Abbey means that a lot of interesting sights and restaurants are nearby. A perfect holiday!

Sue and Derek put in a great effort and it shows. The rooms are lovely and cozy, with special attention paid to small details like ear plugs, and all the fixings for tea. Breakfast was deliciously yummy, and the cooks are more than happy to accomodate your whims. They couldn't be more centrally located, with the Baths museum and Bath Abbey just a little skip away. Sue and Derek are very willing to help book any tours you want to take, or if you want to explore on your own, they'll help you plan. Finally, Sue gave us some reccomendations for places to eat, all of which were wonderful! The prices are resonable, especially considering the high quality of service and super comfy beds!

This was recommended in Rick Steve's Best of Europe. We have to say very nice B&B with big comfortable room, nice bathroom and shower and the host Sue, very friendly. Breakfast was good and they have free Wi-Fi in all of the rooms, a trend I suppose in all European B&B's and hotels. There was one drawback though, the price! Expensive, especially if your American. The price was 85 pounds=177.00 dollars, yes, very expensive. I guess you get what you pay for. We would not be able to afford staying here for more than one night but here are the bonuses for staying here:

-nice clean place.
-Location: walking distance to train/bus station. practically next door to the Roman Baths.
-Quaint Restaurants nearby
-friendly staff/good breakfast

One thing though is that our room was open next to a courtyard. Was a bit noisy at night.....this is the off season to so probably louder in summer when people are up late.

One Bath dinner tip: eat at the Mai Thai Restaurant, great Thai food.

  • Liked — Free Wi-Fi, location.
